My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I recently learned that my dog Cupcake (see pictures) has an aggressive cancer. I want to spend whatever small amount of time we have left together to be with her and concentrate on helping her get through this last phase of her life.

January 2015 update: Cupcake is doing very well and is in great spirits!

I'm an interesting guy. I have a flair for life but would love some one to share that with. I love to try new and exciting experiences; I am game for almost anything. I've done a bit of traveling but would like to do more, especially to Japan. I am an Objectivist, philosophically, and a Libertarian, poltically. Specifically, I am an anarcho-capitalist atheist.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I could say that I haven't yet decided what I want to be when I grow up. But I'm currently working in the Culinary Arts Institute of my local college. Just bought a house in a neighborhood where I've always wanted to live. Love spending time with my dog, Cupcake.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

I enjoy learning and I'm always looking for new interests to develop;

I'm really good with animals. People are often surprised when their pets, who normally don't get along with strangers, react well to me and like me;

Oh, and sticking both feet into my mouth simultaneously. I probably specialize in that one!

Let's figure out what else I am good at together...
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Some people say my eyes, others my smile.

My friends would say that I'm smart and funny.

Also, most people think I'm 10 to 15 years younger than I really am but I no longer believe them, so why don't you tell me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I really enjoy classic films from the Golden Age of Hollywood, as well as many contemporary films.

Favorite books include Atlas Shrugged, The Fountainhead, (well, OK, anything by Ayn Rand), classic literature, history/biography, The Old Vienna Cookbook, again, among many others. And, having mentioned Ratatouille above, I just have to include Anatole.

Favorite foods: German/Austrian, Asian, French, New American, South American, etc. I'll try just about anything once. I'm really into distilled spirits and classical cocktails these days. I consider myself an amateur barcheologist!

Favorite music: my musical tastes are very eclectic, I like a little bit of just about everything other than rap, hip hop and christian music. My favorite genres, however, include American pop standards and classical, but lately I'm really getting into country music, especially Blake Shelton and the Zac Brown Band.

But why forget television? Cable has some great television shows. Mad Men and Justified feature great writing and terrific acting. Of course, they're both in their last season, which is too bad. Really enjoyed the first season of Fargo and glad to hear it'll be back. Now that Breaking Bad is done I'm looking forward to Better Call Saul. My favorite restaurant related shows include the original BBC version of Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, Bar Rescue and now Booze Traveler.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Freedom, music, books, my dog Cupcake, good food and great beverages....and you?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why so many people act the way they do. But I think of a lot of things -- I'm sort of an idea man -- and I enjoy solving problems. I also think about politics and the increasingly poor state of our nation, and when I'm sitting alone in a theater with 500 empty seats why does the next group of people to come in sit right next to me?

And, why do I have to spray Pam into a "non-stick" pan to keep my eggs from sticking?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Wishing I had someone special to go out with and then come home and cuddle up to.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
In 1998, I was a Libertarian candidate for United States Senator.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
The most important thing I've learned during my time here at OKC is that match percentages are meaningless. If you've read this far and are still interested, please contact me, match percentage be damned. However, if all you want to do is chat, please don't bother. There's no point in joining a dating site if you're unwilling to actually date.

Also, if I message you, but you're not interested, please do me the favor of responding with a, "Thanks, but I'm not interested." There's no need to be rude or insulting, but I'd appreciate knowing that my mail was actually received. I promise, I won't yell at you (although I do bite, when asked!)
