Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am interested in getting to know someone who is authentic, kind,
patient, warm, interested in delving below the surface and willing
to put in the work that a great relationship needs.
I like the art of conversation; like to read things that are
well-written; and like to watch stuff that makes me feel something.
Easy to talk to, down to earth, sometimes blunt, kind-hearted,
open-minded, introspective, emotionally intelligent, prefers small
pleasures, altruistic, empathetic, non materialistic, quirky,
eccentric, focused but fun-loving, prefer quality over quantity and
substance over style (well a bit of style won't hurt), a bit
reserved but warms up quickly.
My sense of humor leans more toward the dry-witted side. Eclectic
tastes in movies, music, art and books. Likes fitness, different
cultures and have a plethora of other interests that you'll find
out about once we get to know each other. By no means perfect,
definitely a work-in-progress.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
At the end of the day, trying to improve the quality of
it...helping others do the same when and if I can...trying to find
pockets of happiness
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Things that'll probably make you blush...ok kidding..but seriously,
active listening, giving sound advice, helping others, not being
myopic, making someone feel like they don't have to be anyone else
but themselves...being kind
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I have a serious countenance...my accent...

I'll just list a few.
Books: Love in the time of cholera; One hundred years of solitude;
Killing Johnny Fry; To kill a mockingbird; Kite runner; A thousand
splendid suns; And the mountains echoed...
Shows: I don't watch a lot of tv, but if I do shows like Seinfeld;
Frasier; Mad Men; Scandal; The Daily Show; Big Bang Theory; Modern
Family; Curb your enthusiasm; Walking Dead; HGTV; BBC
Music: A little of everything from most genres...from Debussy to
Drake...good music is good music, however I do lean more heavily
toward alternative/indie music and oldies...
Food: A little of everything once it's palette-pleasing...Thai
& Italian are high on the list.
Movies: Coen Bros; Scorsese; Woody Allen; Wes Anderson...it goes
on...Psychological thrillers, some comedies, mostly foreign films,
independent movies, and stuff off the beaten path.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Meaningful conversation...humor/wit...mental stimulation...true
friendships...genuineness in people...kindness...apparently, the
random use of ellipses...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How I'd spend lottery winnings, then I remember I actually have to
play to win...what comes next in my life...meeting that special
person...quality of life...travelling...helping others...having
adventures and creating great memories...having a meaningful life
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Won't be private if I'm willing to admit it

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
...if you're looking for a relationship that would lead to
something serious...if some of what I wrote resonates with you in
some way...if you genuinely have some of the qualities I mentioned
in my self-summary...if you are emotionally intelligent and
communicate well...that'll be a good place to start.
I know it's hard to put into words what one looks for in a person
without doing the generic laundry list. That said, I'm going to try
this approach: whomever "they" are, always say, you'll know when
you find him. I know I will. It has to do with the entire package,
our attraction, how we communicate, our values and that je ne sais
We'll both know because we'd be consistent, committed and genuinely
interested in wanting to get to know each other...in sharing
details of our past, present and future...it'll seem
effortless...and we'll both be looking forward to it.
