My self-summary
I'm an unabashed optimist who always tries to see the good in people. We're all stuck on this crazy ball hurtling through space, so we might as well make the world (and our lives) as happy and exciting as possible!

I grew up in Nashville and went to college in Philly, but decided to move to the west coast after graduating to try something completely different. I had a life-changing year and a half on the out west, but now I'm ready for the plunge into the icy waters of NYC. I'm also super excited to be living in a place with seasons, even if I have to take a major hit in terms of food truck density.

Also, the Personality tab on here is probably the least accurate thing I've ever seen. Nice job, OKC!
What I’m doing with my life
Went to business school for undergrad so I figured I might as well jump into the consulting world for a couple of years. I'm a year and a half into my 2 year sentence right now and am spending my spare time trying to be the most adventurous 24 year old possible. That means LOTS of concerts and music festivals, random internships, road trips, picking up hobbies that my friends judge me for, and attempting to beat all of my friends at Untappd check-ins.

Consulting has been "great" (especially the frequent flyer miles and hotel points) but I can feel myself getting close to stepping into the next phase of my 20's, aka a job that I truly love and can fully throw myself into. Also, getting to spend 7 days a week in the city I live in, rather than random sunday night flights to Mississippi for a client meeting monday morning.
I’m really good at
Making people happy (I think)! Starting screenplays, writing 20 pages, and then starting a new screenplay because I got a better idea; cooking a very limited, strangely specific menu of things (risotto, fish tacos, butternut squash and apple soup, etc.); going on spontaneous adventures; having ridiculously random conversations about even more ridiculously random things; using parentheses even when totally (unnecessary)
The first things people usually notice about me
Most people tell me, "You look kind of like that one movie star...I don't know who though."

And by "people", I mean my friend's girlfriend's younger sister, once.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Lord of the Rings, His Dark Materials, Y: The Last Man, A Short History of Nearly Everything, The Road, A Walk in the Woods, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Devil in the White City, Divergent (I am shamed. Young Adult fiction is just too addicting), Ender's Game

Movies: Children of Men, District 9, Best in Show, The Prestige, City of God, 40 Year Old Virgin, The Cabin in the Woods, Sunshine, The Great Escape, Eternal Sunshine, Moon, The Incredibles, Jurassic Park

Shows: Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Arrested Development, Workaholics, Parks and Rec, Homeland, Lost (I want to quickly comment that 90% of everyone on OKCupid has Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Parks and Rec, Homeland, and Arrested Development listed as their favorite shows. This either means I'm unoriginal or 90% of people on here are awesome!).

Music: Two Door Cinema Club, Muse, Arcade Fire, The Wombats, The Vaccines, Passion Pit, Yeasayer, Metric, Crystal Castles, M83, Macklemore, Miike Snow, Of Monsters and Men, Purity Ring, any movie soundtrack, and ANYTHING electronic- Current favorites include Big Gigantic, Zedd, Porter Robinson, Morgan Page, Dada Life, Above & Beyond, W&W, Armin, Knife Party, TNGHT, Hardwell, Mat Zo, Arty, Markus Schulz, ahhhh just too many to name.

Food: Banh Mi, Thai, Homemade Pastaaaaa, Avocados on all things (edible or inedible), Trader Joe's frozen everything, and recently beets/quinoa/kale (I just moved from San Francisco- cut me some slack!)
The six things I could never do without
1. Sneakishly addicting breakfast wraps from Starbucks
2. Spotify Premium
3. The barista at the coffeeshop down the street asking if I'm sure I'm not on The Vampire Diaries every time I order a latte
4. Midnight movie premieres and all-night raves
5. Working from home on Friday
6. Car windows down, music terrifyingly loud
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How much money the kids who dance on the subways make a year. Also, why the kids who sell candy on the subway don't learn to dance on the subway instead.

What the meaning of life is. I mean, I know it's 42, but what does the 42 mean!? Yeah, I'm happily embracing my "existential early 20's" phase right now.

Why people in San Francisco dont walk just a little bit faster! I know you got somewhere to go. I know it!
On a typical Friday night I am
Most likely finding the craziest bar I possibly can and then inevitably ending up at Union Pool; playing the Arrested Development drinking game at home; at a concert.

Now that I've moved to Brooklyn, I'm guessing I'll also be getting roped into the occasional gallery opening or spoken word poetry jam, since everyone on okc from brooklyn seems to do those quite a lot. Also, bouldering. I love bouldering. Almost at a consistent v3. Baby steps!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I may or may not own more than one replica prop from Lord of the Rings.

You're looking for a sweet, sarcastic, optimistic guy to have awesome adventures with! You're excited about life and rarely say no to new experiences or adventures! If you can't tell, I like adventures.

Or if you want to go to a concert and dance like maniacs.

Or if you can quote >50% of Jurassic Park in one go.
