My self-summary
I'm a nerd who has made a career of it (well that's one way to open this...) I enjoy work but I live for my free time. Music fuels me, and is a part of every day and much that I do. I'm always heading off to various concerts, very rarely ones in town. My mind holds a frighteningly large amount of trivia, especially song lyrics. I love the outdoors and don't do well without the sun.

I love discussing politics, but I'm not political. I love discussing religion, but I'm not religious.

I need to travel (surprise surprise), and get very antsy if too much time goes by without going somewhere. Though, I also love time around the house, and go crazy if too much time goes by without wasting a weekend at home.

I'm fascinated by people and their differences. I love meeting people with varying views on life & the world, it teaches me so much.
What I’m doing with my life
Basically, trying to travel as much as I can, staying in shape and indulging my love of athletics and running, keeping myself intellectually challenged as much as possible at work and at home, and trying to start my world famous band. (One of these may not be as true as the others)
I’m really good at
Recognizing songs (this drives people crazy when I'm flipping through radio stations very quickly), programming computers (told you I was a nerd), running, games of precision (like darts and, well, beer pong)
The first things people usually notice about me
Well the first thing they usually comment on is my eyes, so I guess that. They're very blue
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Boring lists ahead...

Music: Overall, I love bluesy rock. Jack White is something like my music hero. But my favorites are kind of all over the place... Pearl Jam, Radiohead, Kanye West, The Roots, DMB, Guns N Roses (old GNR that is), The New Pornographers, Jay-Z, The Black Keys, Muse, Led Zeppelin, TV on the Radio, Fiona Apple, Neko Case, The National...

Movies: I tend to like things that are at least a little bit depressing, and get pulled really hard toward that which is relentlessly depressing (think: Requiem for a Dream). But as long as it has a brain and/or heart at all, it can work for me. I have no time for most popcorn fare (think: anything Michael Bay). Memento, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Pulp Fiction, Finding Nemo, Young Frakenstein...

TV: Current favorites are Game of Thrones, Mad Men, Daily Show, Doctor Who, Boardwalk Empire, Homeland. All time favorite, never to be trumped, is The Wire.

Currently reading Nate Silver's 'The Signal & The Noise'
The six things I could never do without
-The Daily Show
-My guitar
-My friends, scattered though they may be
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Sex, every 7 seconds right?
The universe, and how ridiculously huge it is
French, and how much of a failure I am for continuing to not learn it better
My friends, scattered though they may be
On a typical Friday night I am
Trying to cram in a run before getting together with someone I haven't seen in a while. Or just at home recharging after a long week, with music or a movie. Would love for you to join me
You should message me if
You want to go running or biking together.

You love music too, and want to discuss it over a drink.

Or we're nothing alike at all, and you want to tell me how wrong I am. Really if you see anything at all interesting, I'm fun to talk to, promise :)
