I'm a single white male. A dog. A house. A truck. That should cover my demographics. I have a different idea of recreation than most. I like projects. Standing at a bar exchanging small talk bores me to tears. I like to do things. I love playing sports, but I don't like watching them. I like to see the results of hard work. I get more enjoyment out of cooking dinner than eating it. I still believe I can accomplish anything. I don't get hung up on my many past mistakes. I have a sense of humor that ranges sarcastic to really sarcastic. I'm not afraid of looking goofy and do so often. I like kids. I'm smart enough to know how little I know. I'm a liberal. Religious fanatics scare me. Actually, all fanatics scare me. I believe education is extremely important and shouldn't end with college. I like being outdoors. I like the buzz I get from exercising till I'm exhausted. I will stand loyally by my close friends, even when they're in the wrong. Only after trouble has subsided will I kick their butt for their stupidity. I expect them to do the same for me. I still look up to my big sister.

I have a couple small companies that keep me busy. I do a lot of trail running and hiking with the dog. I do even more running without the dog. I run a lot. I play guitar. I'm an amazing cook. I'm a loving dad to my sweet little girl. I grow many, many plants. And I'm trying to fit in a date now and then. . . to keep the dream alive, you know.

Energy, enthusiasm, passion. Yeah, I'm very type A.

I read a lot of literature back around my college years. Read a lot of political books during grad school. Read a number of modern history books over the last few years. Been more textbook-type stuff lately. So much to learn; so little time. I love movies in general. Cohen Bros, Wes Anderson, Monty Python, all those mock-u-mentaries. . . especially Best in Show, and The Godfather (of course). I'm going through a blugrass phase right now.
