My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am funny, artistic, and unusually unique.

I have a small apartment, that is rife with wonderful baubles and bits.

I have been happy learning about the world and watching it turn on its axis. Lately, I have been thinking about how nice it would be to spend some time with someone. I would like to introduce them to my world, and would like to learn more about theirs.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I currently work in the IT department for a mutual fund company. I spend my days with my head ducked below cubicle walls while corporate politics whiz overhead. Before my current job, I was stuck in a weird second and third shift purgatory for 10 years. It was only recently have I found such strange and wonderful things as "afternoons and evenings off" and "not having to come in on the weekends".

I have terrific friends who I adore, but when I returned to the land of normal human working hours, I found that the evenings and nights are unsettlingly quiet. After work, I talk with my dinner about how my day went. It listens intently, and for that I'm glad. However, as conversation progresses, my meal shrinks smaller and smaller, leaving an empty plate in the end. I'm not lonely, but I am alone in that respect.

I think a little change of pace would be nice.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Computers. I adore them. I also have a strange hobbies including Japanese music culture, novel writing, and intellectual property law.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyes, I've been told. I'm staggeringly independent. I have a strange and wonderful outlook on the world. Some say I'm childish, but deeply responsible and trustworthy.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: I love geek classics. Hittichhiker's guide to the galaxy, Dune, and early Heinlein. (Did you know, the original Starship Troopers reads like a "Halo" novel? Actually, it's closer to ODST, but still.) I prefer Science Fiction to fantasy. Tolkien is better spoken then read. It's how I got though The Silmarillion

Movies: I'll grab a Pixar or Miyazaki movie if it's in the theater. I used to watch any nerdy plup, from LOTR to Avatar. Sadly, "Transformers" and "Crystal Skull" were so bad, I now pretty much plan my movies a year in advance.

Shows: I enjoy taking theater at the Pabst. Keep in mind that my idea of theater isn't exactly Tchaikovsky. The last shows I saw were "One Man Star Wars" (that went on to Broadway), "Cinematic Titanic", and Bo Burnham Live. There is a Shakespearean version of "Pulp Fiction" that's touring. I'd love to see that!

Music: I study and adore Japanese music cultue. This truely runs the gamult from old-timey enka music from the 40's to contemporary Japanese R&B. My more mainstream tastes include American 80's music. I also like independent quirky stuff, such as Al Yankovic, Jonathan Couton, The Doubleclicks, Molly Lewis, and other oddities.

Food: Italian is awesome. From pizza to lasagna. There is also a Japanese restaurant I frequent in Milwaukee.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My Android phone
The friends I have collected over the years.
My copy of "Chasing Amy"
My hyperactive imagination
My novels I write, that someday I'll finish (I shake my fist at thee!)
My music. It always makes me remember, and helps me forget. It makes me sing, and makes me think. It is an eclectic collection that defines me in song. I guess that would be the most important one.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Stories.
I fancy myself a writer and have worlds that I have created. By proxy, I also write awesome letters to people.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Most times, at home.
I have friends, but they have full-time families, and their own concerns on the weekends. I'll take in a book, or write something for my own edification. I will most likely come up with a bauble or two day project to keep my mind busy. Summer is coming so I'll find myself riding my bike around the forest. It's rather uneventful.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I can't metabolize alcohol :(
It's like a useless anti-superpower.
