I am Quiet, Careful, and Odd.

My Self-Summary

I am a extreme introvert who has trouble with large groups and even small groups of people. I do okay in groups if I'm with a friend or family member. I am a jeans and t-shirt guy (that's all I own) with no idea of fashion.

My idea of fun is going to a park and hiking through the woods for a few hours. I am also a incurable collector/pack rat who loves to go to flea markets, yard sales, antique shops, auctions. I also like to go to the movies to see a good Horror, Sci-fi, Action, or Fantasy flick.
I am addicted to books, TV, and the internet (ebay).

What I’m doing with my life

Enjoying it! working 8 hours a day 5 days a week - weekends off :) . Not the best paying job but the benefits are great, I hope to keep it till retirement age. My new job and coworkers have helped me break my shell a bit, I recently got my first cell phone and also my first new car - never thought I would do that. I am trying to be more healthy, eating better and exercising, really love long walks. I have dropped 40 pounds in the last 10 months and would like to get rid of about 10 more. I feel better and younger than I have in years.

I’m really good at

Looking on the bright side, seeing the beauty of nature.
I'm good at buying something for a dollar at a yard sale and getting 2 dollars for it at a flea market.
Collecting Junk, getting stuff cheap.
Meditating

The first things people usually notice about me

The Mustache or that I'm quiet.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books - Robert R. McCammon's Swan Song best book I have ever read, past due for a re-reading. Any of Robert R. McCammon's books, any Anne Rice, Dean Koontz, some Stephen King, Clive Barker, Neil Gaiman. I like most Vampire, Werewolf books. Surprised myself this year by reading Dear Boris, a book on the life of Boris Karloff. Another surprise was Mr. Monk and the Two Assistants. Currently reading Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz (Just finished it - Damn you Koontz! ).

Movies - Wow start with - Alien, Aliens, On Borrowed Time (1939), Frankenstein (1931), Godzilla (1954), The Good The Bad and the Ugly, all the Star Trek films, Clive barker's Hellraiser, #1 favorite - The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Interview with a Vampire, Queen of the Damned, Army of Darkness, Sleepy Hollow, Sling Blade, Forrest Gump, Independence Day, Hellboy, Big Fish, A ton of others.

Music - Classic Rock, The Beatles, Queen, 80's pop, Stone Temple Pilots, Evanescence, Peter Gabriel, Annie Lennox, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Classic Genesis with Gabriel. I really like a lot of music but not really into Rap or Country a few are ok.

TV - Love History and Discover Channel, The Closer, Monk, Saving Grace, Ghost Hunters, U.F.O. Hunters, Smallville, Robot Chicken, Simpsons, King of the Hill, Supernatural, Heroes, C.S.I., House, 24, Lost, Fringe, Twilight Zone Marathons
really miss Farscape , X-Files

Food - Blue Berries, Walnuts, most nuts, High Fiber cereal, Cooper Sharp Cheese, Cheddar Cheese, High Fiber Bread, Apples, Oranges, Grapes, Potatoes, Corn on or off the cob, Cucumbers, Sweet Pickles, 100% fruit Juices, Good Friends Cereal, If I want a Burger I will have a boca or some other type of veggie burger. Tried the vegetarian diet - got off pork and red meat but still eat poultry and fish occasionally.

The six things I could never do without

Family, Nature, TV, Internet, Books, Fruit

I spend a lot of time thinking about

The Past, the Future. How much longer Mother Earth will put up with us. Where the human race will be in 1000 years. Will we make it to Mars and if we do what will we find.
If that ass had not killed John Lennon what other incredible songs we would have. If Freddie Mercury had not died of aids how many more albums would Queen have come out with. Will Anne Rice ever do another Vampire Book. Have aliens been here on earth. Why ghosts would haunt a house and not a movie theater. What I would do if I won the powerball lottery. What unknown critters are their in the ocean or rain forests . If I had a time machine when would I go to. If their were only introverts on the planet would we have world peace. Is time like a river. If there are alternate reality's where we made different choices in life and if so can we get a glimpse of them during deep meditation. Is de ja vue or being a bit psychic simply a quick sync with an alternate me whose time line is a little ahead of my own. Nature based religions. Why do some people never question the religion they were born into or question anything at all.

On a typical Friday night I am

Working till 10 or 11 - when I get home I like to Stargaze or hop on the internet.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I hate pizza and pasta

You should message me if

You like nature, critters, parks, hiking, walking, trees, books, Yard Sales, Flea Markets, Auctions, could deal with my extreme oddness, like to drive places - Ill pay for gas. You could laugh when I do something stupid or give me a little shake when I zone out. You are a thinker. You don't mind my bad Spelling or bad punctuation " I'm a reader not a writer damn it ". You enjoy the paranormal.

If you think I could be your Odd Thomas and you could be my Stormy Llewellyn.
