My self-summary
I am a very laid-back and quirky character with a dry wit and a "shyness that is criminally vulgar."-credit to the Smiths for that. I have spent most of my adult life in school of some sort. As a result I have not been married before, and I have no children. Its not a Peter Pan syndrome, I just have been in school for a while! I also have been told I look very young for my age. I do enjoy classic Simpsons, fantasy such as HBO's Game of Thrones, Classic drama like Mad Men, and science fiction such as the old Star Trek. Remember, Jews always make the best Starfleet Captains.
What I’m doing with my life
I take care of people. I do not have any pets but I wish I did. I don't know how to play the drums but I am trying to learn. I don't have a clean apartment but I'm working on it. I sold my car because I take public transit. It does cramp my style--I'm sure its not helping the dating stuff...maybe I Should build a car?
I’m really good at
I'm good at all kinds of Trivia, classic film, old tv shows, cultural references nobody else would get, quoting old woody allen short stories, and breakdancing 80s style.
The first things people usually notice about me
Many have said my eyes, which are blue-green-grey depending on the light and my mood, that I look young for my age, I am of stocky build, an old soul, rather introspective, and sometimes I sway when nervous.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Fried green tomatoes
OK Maybe not. But seriously...book? You can't name just one. I mean, are we talking fiction, non-fiction? NOT the Sammy Hagar Book RED. Movie-Strange brew with Bob and Doug Mackenzie aka Dave Thomas and Rick Moranis. Watch again and look for all the references to Hamlet. Music- the album by William Shatner, the transformed man..which features him reciting..badly...a few shakespeare sonnets. Food?-anything chocolate...
The six things I could never do without
Six things? This is entirely too complicated but I will say--I am a city boy at heart-give me a hotel with a bathroom, shower, high speed internet and room service and thats a hell of a lot better than a pitching a tent--haven't you people seen deliverance? Hence I am not a fan of c/a/m/p/i/n/g. I just edited this, since it would seem by mentioning that previous activity, even though in a rather negative way, it assumes c/a/m/p/i/n/g is an interest! How ironic...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I'm also still pissed about the Lost Finale and might start ranting about it again, but its getting to be no fun to argue with homeless people about it. My love of science fiction and genre entertainment, as well as the simpsons, will keep me single probably for a long time. But what the hell, take a chance ladies.
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually I am just tired from a busy week. And sometimes having to work on a saturday. I usually complain about not having much to do or anyone to do it with, or, other times, having a scary date I am trying to escape from...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
if I write you and you do not respond...I might write again since I like to be an optimist. Or A glutton for punishment. I generally would do a person the courtesy of a reply to at least say I am not interested. I hope you can do the same.
You should message me if
If you would like a sensitive male with the soul of a poet but the body of..uhh...a meat eater, with a love of comedy, literature, and all things liberal, then drop me a line.
