My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm in a big transitory period of my life and everything seems to be working out for the better, no matter how big the challenge is that I'm facing the right tools are there at my disposal. I'm in a very positive place as a result of the obstacles I have surmounted, and feel I have taken a big step forward spiritually.

As far as more about me in general I am something of a renaissance man with music, philosophy, tarot, numerology, and poetry as my main artistic endeavors. But definitely playing drums in a band is at the top. Oh and I play ultimate frisbee at least once a week religiously. Don't laugh but it gives you a great workout especially if you play with reckless abandon (yes I do). And we're not the ones smoking weed all the time; that's the disc golfers you're thinking of ;)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have been working for this really great solar company and it's weird, pretty much everyone seems happy and no one seems sketch that I work with, though there is a lot of turn over because sales is definitely not for everyone (especially outside sales). I also love my job because I'm getting people to switch to cleaner energy and get compensated well for making social and environmental change happen that I care about.

In the last five years because of the work I have been doing (canvassing door-to-door to generate and then execute in-home sales for residential solar installations, and before that canvassing for an environmental justice non--profit) and because I believe in what I am doing I have become a much more outgoing person. Since my job involves initiating conversations with complete strangers it comes as no surprise that I can easily start a conversation with almost anyone now, though setting (like at a loud bar) is certainly a factor. So I am more extroverted most of the time though I can still be introverted and be content just doing my own thing.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Overcoming problems by trusting my intuitive and analytical abilites. I've always had the analytical side active but recently my intution has been better than it's ever been.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I'm comfortable in my own skin and that I'm my own person naturally and without effort. I wasn't always like that, it took years of hard work to get to that place.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
LOTR books and movies, Donnie Darko, Blade Runner, Apocalypse Now, Alien, anything Aleister Crowley (the most misunderstood man of the 20th century), Dale Pendell (the Pharmacoepia series), Wallace Stevens, Pablo Neruda, Sharon Olds, my sister's stuff (she in an up-and-coming poet in NYC), TOOL, Rush, Yes, Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Radiohead, Aphex Twin, Portishead, Dream Theater, Dead Can Dance, some of our own songs, vegetarian Indian food (though I'm not a vegetarian).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My hands (for drums and ultimate)
My wits
My drive (I kind of have a chip on my shoulder)
My enthusiasm (think of the Greek word ethos)
My originality (don't mean to be arrogant, but all artists think that the mold was broke for them)
My weekly ultimate frisbee game (I go kind of bonkers without it).
Trusting myself above anyone else.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Physics, Tarot cards, underlying principles of the universe, musical ideas, weather phenomenon, the possiblity of non-being, the permeatation of numbers in all of physical reality, the nature of Spirit and how everything is connected (ex. The Jeweled Net of Indra).
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Getting off work at 8:30 and seeing what my friends are up to. Sometimes driving up to SF sometimes staying in the South Bay.
Maybe going to the gym though that is likely on several other days.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm not a flesh-eating zombie.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're into looking at and improving the positive things about your life more and are good at overcoming rather than dwelling on negativity. You know how to enjoy yourself and others and are open to warming up to someone quickly if the right chemistry is there.

Some people say that I come off looking a little conservative in my photos but nothing is further from the truth, both politically and idealistically. But because I'm in sales my freakishness has to lurk beneath the surface. That doesn't mean I'm an OKC lurker though, yeah ladies you know what I'm talking about ;)

I would say if you aren't passionate about art and/or some type or spirituality then we might not have a lot in common. It's more about the passion than the similarities, but if for example "heavy" music sends you shrieking into the night then our personalities may be too dissimilar. I have spent a lot of time writing my profile and answering questions and taking bizarre pseudo-scientific tests to help myself and you determine if we would have a good time meeting up; it's worth the effort to help avoid bad dates and have good to great dates (I guess epically bad dates have some value though ;)
