I am talkative, nerdy, and bubbly.
My Self-Summary
I'm
polyamorous and
queer with a soft-spot for cute
people who like to
cuddle. I've been happily dating
photogeekmtl for
about a year and a half and I have room on my dance card for others
who live in Toronto. It would also just be nice to make some new
friends. :)
I'm a huge fan of
coffee (with milk and sugar),
crime shows, and
handholding.
I'm pretty nerdy and would never turn down a good (or bad!)
documentary.
I'm busty and I identify as a fat queer femme. I really enjoy
learning, talking with friends in coffee shops, and hanging out
with my boyfriend's two-year-old in Montreal parks. I appreciate
when people actively work on their emotional issues and I feel like
I've made a lot of headway lately on some of my own. I'd like to be
a parent of some sort someday, but I'm open to how that happens.
I'm generally a pretty happy, bubbly person and I like to think
that I'm fairly open-minded.
What I’m doing with my life
I have a Master of Information degree and I'm a reference librarian
in a law firm. I really love providing my job: I get a lot of joy
out of helping people. Someday I would like to try working in an
academic or medical library so if you're a librarian in either of
those fields, I'd love it if you messaged me and let me know how
that is. :)
I’m really good at
being easily amused, laughing loudly, reading quickly, knitting
badly, drinking coffee, talking about feelings, and cuddling.

I've been a vegetarian for over ten years now, but it's not
something that's an important part of my identity. I actually tend
to forget that I am these days when I first meet people so I
figured I'd mention that here. I don't mind at all if people cook
or eat meat in front of me.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
my friends, my family, and my relationship(s).
On a nerdier level, I'm currently on a non-fiction kick and have
been reading a fair bit of popular science books. Right now I'm
reading "Bonk: The Curious Coupling of Science and Sex" by Mary
Roach and "Look Me in the Eye: My Life with Asperger's" by John
Elder Robinson. I also really enjoy talking and learning about
gender, queerness (I identify as queer myself and I have lesbian
moms), sexuality, accessibility issues, and how other people
structure their relationships.
On a typical Friday night I am
probably watching a movie or going out for supper with friends. I
don't like to go out drinking so a more low-key activity --
watching trashy television shows; playing boardgames; grabbing warm
drinks and walking around the city; or checking out a street
festival -- is more my style.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I value flexibility in any sort of relationship hierarchy I'm
involved in. I'm happy being a secondary partner (or tertiary or
FWB...) if that's where our relationship naturally levels off, but
I'm not okay with having a hierarchy enforced for another person's
sense of security (i.e., being a secondary partner because there
can only be one primary partner and that role has been filled). I
prefer letting relationships be what they are and not having to
worry about a relationship becoming "too loving" or "too close." If
your partner is only okay with you getting involved with me if it
stays less emotionally serious than your relationship with them,
I'm probably not interested. That comes up surprisingly frequently
on here so I thought I'd explain that upfront.
You should message me if
you're a friendly person who lives in Toronto and is into hanging
out with a shy-at-first cheerful librarian. :) I am just as much
into new friends as new romantic partners.
You get extra points in my book if any of the following apply to
you:
- you also identify as a fat queer femme
- you're a fan of fat queer femmes
- you've been doing non-monogamy of some sort for long enough to
have learned from some mistakes
- you're a nerd or a geek
I'm not interested if:
- you're in a monogamous relationship and looking to cheat on your
partner with me
- you'd like me to date both you and your partner as a package deal
