I am laid-back, mellow, and intelligent.
My Self-Summary
well, what to say about myself ? i could quote popeye
"i yam what i yam" but i'm not a sailor man. or i could describe
myself with a lot of positive adjectives, that really don't do the
job. what i see of me is not what you will see. so i'll say this. i
treat people the way i wish to be treated, with courtesy, and
respect. if that doesn't work, then i become a mirror,and i treat
people the way they treat me.but i always start with respect.i like
adventure, spontaneity, and new experiences. i just lost my lady of
16 years to cancer, and i'm looking to move on with my life, one
step at a time. i grew up on a farm outside of wolf lake. i was a
tanker in the army in the eighties, and lived in germany for a
while, europe is cool, if you can, go. INFP personality type, the
test said that only 1% of people are this type, so i guess i'm
fairly rare. who knew?
What I’m doing with my life
drifting on the ocean of life, keeping my head above water. trying
to decide whether to go back to school, or spend a couple of years
donating my time/ knowledge rebuilding houses on the gulf. possibly
travel to the northeast and find a free sailboat to fix, and sail
to the Caribbean. i guess i'm standing at a crossroads in life and
looking for a coin to flip, anyone got a six, no a seven sided
coin? does my path lead to you?
I’m really good at
fixing things. all sorts of things. i'm also pretty good at being
happy.(hint, it's all in your point of view.) i'm also good at
seeing all sides of a problem, which doesn't always please
everyone,(how can you take their side?) but that's life.
The first things people usually notice about me
my long hair, i have a lot of it. the second is that i'm smarter
than they thought. lucky me. i'm not sure if it is good, or bad.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
i love to read, and have read a lot of books about everything from
philosophy, to how to build a sailboat. my favorites are tolkien,
the discworld books, piers anthony, basicly sci-fi/ fantasy. as far
as movies go, i like action, sci-fi, horror, comedies, and cartoons
i think it is more fun to watch them at home where you can get
comfortable. i like video games, mostly RPGs, or shooter. i listen
to rock, metal, folk, bluegrass, and on the rare occasion,
classical. my favorites are led zeppelin, pearl jam, ac-dc,
crosby, stills, and nash, simon and garfunkle, black sabbath, beck,
rage against the machine. i'm a carnivore, so meat and potatoes are
a given. beyond that, i'm not the most adventurous with food.
The six things I could never do without
air, food, water, family, and my friends.and maybe someone to play
with, do you wanna play? i thought about it some more, and the
reason that i didn't put down more, is because at some time in my
life i have done without almost everything but my life. when you
have lost everything, what really matters comes sharply into focus.
stuff is just stuff, and can be replaced. a list of six things that
i touch every day would be, my tools, mt. dew, my computer, my
truck, my glasses( i don't like contacts), wake and bake;)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
umm... ahh.... i'll have to think about that one. ok, i thought
about, it and mostly i think about what i'm doing at the time. i
try to live in the now, the past only exists as learning
experiences, and the future may never come. you cannot live in the
the past, or the future, so to dwell on either is bad. "the true
path to happiness lies in the middle way." Buddha.
On a typical Friday night I am
at home watching ghost whisperer. if you can think of something
better, let me know!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
i spent my 20's trying everything, and i mean everything! plus, i'm
the only one i know who can have a three sided argument in side
their head and still lose.
You should message me if
if you are looking for someone to have fun with, if you are looking
for an equal, a foil for your wit, and many other adjectives that i
can't think of right now. don't, if your a control freak, or
uptight, or a party pooper. life is too short to hang out with
people who make you miserable.
