books: anything dystopian [most notably catch-22, 1984, and the
giver], as you like it, othello, tempest, to kill a mockingbird,
pride & prejudice, harry potter.
movies: his girl friday, the philadelphia story, casablanca, the apartment, star wars [more to the point, the empire strikes back], labyrinth, the princess bride, wall-e.
music: the beatles, david bowie, feist, michael jackson, elton john, m.i.a., joni mitchell, prince, queen, shostakovich, the who. i also have several guilty pleasures, but after years of ridicule i tend to play those a little closer to the vest now.
eating: OUT - indian, sushi. IN - waffles, baked ziti, roasted vegetables. ALWAYS - cake.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
changing the cultural framework of gender and sex; elusive synonyms
[i.e. the word on the tip of your tongue]; being an intuitive
introvert; bizarre hypothetical situations; adjusting my vocabulary
to the situation at hand; in-season produce.
On a typical Friday night I am
cooking dinner, having a glass of wine, and watching a movie with
friends. i don't do crowded, dark rooms full of strangers.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
i am not a vegetarian, though i am often mistaken for one. the
irony in this is that i'm allergic to most vegetarian sources of
protein.
