My self-summary
I'm a bright, articulate and positive person. I've always been interested in people and work as a nurse. I'm from Sheffield and recently came home which is lovely. Nice to be closer to family again. I'm direct and engaging with a wicked sense of humour and love to laugh.
What I’m doing with my life
Working hard setting up a new NHS service which should take up the next year or two. Plotting about what to do after that. Have many ideas, it's choosing what to go for.
I’m really good at
I love people, the ways they see the world and the different ways they get on with life. I'm really good at taking the time to try and see things from another point of view.

I'm an excellent motivator and teacher, which I discovered fairly recently.

I also kick ass at connect 4.
The first things people usually notice about me
My energy and my smile. I am a practical positive and happy person.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Love to read and like all sorts of things. My favourite book is 'Call of the Wild'. I'm happiest with my nose in a book, I love to lose myself in good writing. I've an abiding fondness for Peter Carey but it really does cover anything from The Inklings to the Beat Generation and back.

Music is a lot of varied stuff too from Dolly Parton to Squarepusher. I'm slightly infatuated with Brian Eno from Roxy Music onwards, but really, anything goes from minimalist modern classical to finger pickin' dead dog country.

Films are wonderful. Do like odd ones though. Love Terence Davies. Also Todd Solondz. Bill Murray is a god obviously.
The six things I could never do without
My wonderful family and friends.
Coffee
Clean air and green spaces
Humour
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Mindfulness and the importance of noticing my thoughts without getting caught up in the content.
On a typical Friday night I am
Finishing up the last bits of work before going away for the weekend or getting some lovely food and a film or getting the walking boots out for the next day. Or just enjoying a few drinks with friends.
