I am a virtuous, vigorous, and voracious vegan.
My Self-Summary
I'm down-to-earth, purposeful and fun-loving. I enjoy volleyball,
bike rides, running and CrossFit. I am getting my masters and when
I'm not doing school-related activities I spend time with friends,
family and my dog. I enjoy cooking, reading, being outdoors, eating
tasty vegan meals, staying active, listening to music, couch
surfing... whatever feels good and right at the time. I'm loving
life and enjoy sharing it with others.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm back in school and fully enjoying the student lifestyle after a
few years in an industry I just wasn't connecting with. I'm
(hopefully) setting myself up for happiness and success and having
a great time in the process.
I’m really good at
Staying humble.
The first things people usually notice about me
My height. Apparently the average US woman is 5'3", that means I
have almost 10" on those bitches! (Not to mention almost 3" on the
average dude.)
My ethnic ambiguity. I love to hear people guess what they think I
am.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I have a tendency to start a lot of books and not finish them, but
some great recent reads and all time faves are Reflections on the
Art of Living, The Rum Diary, The Little Prince, The Stranger, A
Game of Thrones, Pillars of the Earth, Love in the Time of
Cholera...
As with books, there are too many great movies to even come close
to listing most, so just a few are The Big Lebowski, Tommy Boy,
Shawshank Redemption, Babe, Spirited Away, Pulp Fiction, 12 Angry
Men, American History X, Up, Gran Torino, Stand By Me,
Casino...
Same story with music, here's some: Zep, Clapton, Stones, Dylan,
SRV, Lynrd Skynrd, Etta, Billie, Louis, Otis, Al, Sam, Marvin,
Brother Ali, The Roots, Murs, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Madvillain, G
Love & Special Sauce, Jack Johnson, Brett Dennen, D.
Frankenreiter, B. Harper...
I love almost any vegan food.
The six things I could never do without
coffee
tofu
exercise
bra
chapstick
self respect
On a typical Friday night I am
There is no "typical" Friday night for me. Cooking at home, maybe
with friends, resting for a weekend volleyball tournament,
studying/doing homework, chillen with my dog... whatever.
You should message me if
You would like to chat. My life is fairly fulfilled and complete,
but it would be nice to meet someone who could complement (not
complete) me and add that certain je ne sais quoi.
I am open to most things, but if you are into hunting, drama,
clubbing, daily fast food, hating on cops, not saying "thank you"
to people who hold the door open for you, one-night-stands or being
rude to waiters/waitresses (just to name a few) it probably
wouldn't go anywhere. However, if you are into (or are open to)
farmers
markets,
hiking/
volleyball/
running/
crossfit,
snowboarding,
vegan food,
being kind,
family,
dive bars,
low-key evenings,
terrible karaoke,
animals,
after-dinner
walks,
self-deprecating humor,
always
rooting for the
underdog and
independent thought (among
other
things), hit
me up!
