Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I have been called many things; fun, funny, witty, smart,
passionate, romantic, a goofball and most often caring. I have been
known to be very compassionate? to my friends and family and I am
very lucky because most of my friends have been with me for over 20
years but I still continue to build new bonds and gain new
friendships as I get older. I love to meet new people, taking the
time to get to know them, their likes, dislikes, histories and what
made them into the person they are today. I like to listen and help
whenever needed. I have been known to go that extra step but I
never expect something in return. I love to be stimulated with good
conversation whether the topic is light hearted or intense. I love
to learn from others and I hope they learn something from me in
I love to cook, I find it relaxing and at times a great way to get
to know someone as you share in the preparation of the meal. I
never turn my nose up at anything and I am always willing to try
new types of food no matter how obscure. I have also been known to
mix a Hell of a martini, experiment making new cocktails, I love
good wines, micro brews (Abita, Avery, Blue Point, etc.) and
scotches but know my limits.
I love to explore, whether it’s here in NYC or anywhere I may be. I
have no problem hopping in my Jeep to drive out to the vineyards of
eastern Long Island, go on mountain bike journeys on Fire Island
visiting each of the towns, hiking in Montauk, explore the Jersey
coast or head upstate to the mountains. I love to visit new
countries and cities but when I am there I like to visit the local
spots, restaurants and shops in addition to the important
I am a waterman in every sense of the word. I am always happy when
I am at the beach or on the water no matter what the weather may
be. I love boating and believe a day on the water is great way to
relieve stress and enjoy Mother Nature at her finest. I enjoy
fishing, both inshore and far off shore for larger species such as
Shark and Tuna. I am addicted to surfing though I wish I had more
time in the waves then out of them. When I can’t be in the water
you can find me on the beach with my camera in hand capturing all
of the action. This year I hope to try stand up paddle boarding to
experience the ocean from a new perspective.
I believe pets are important and look forward to having another one
soon. I grew up with cats though I would love to own a dog in the
I am looking to find someone who is willing to not only get to know
me but also my interests as I would like to learn and share in
theirs. My ideal is someone who is smart, open minded, caring and
thoughtful. Someone who remembers the little things but can focus
on the big picture, who can go from beach to formal wear within an
afternoon and feel as comfortable in both. A person who is looking
for a partnership to enjoy all things that life has to offer and
what we can offer each other. A person who can make my legs go cold
when they are around and warm my heart.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I love to learn and I am very fortunate that I enjoy my work along
with the challenges that are presented to me on a daily basis. I am
lucky to work with incredibly talented and gifted people who have
helped me raise my game to whole new levels. I love the fact I am
constantly expanding my knowledge of product development with the
added bonus of learning from some of the most creative people in
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being there when I am needed whether it's to deliver some laughs
when a friend is not at their best, supporting the people in my
life, helping those who need it, hoisting a glass in celebration or
just lending a ear when someone needs to talk.
The first things people usually notice about me

During the summer time my Hawaiian shirts or board shorts, always
original, classic and unique.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I love to have my imagination and sense of humor engaged and my
mind exercised to think in ways or see things in a different light
so when it comes to books, movies and shows my taste can vary to
With books I enjoy historical non-fiction like Under the Old Hotel,
surf stories like Captain Zero, the imagination of authors like
Michael Crichton, stories about the world around us like the Mole
People of New York, but one of my all-time favorites is the Power
of One by Bryce Courtenay.
When it comes to movies I am not afraid to admit that if When Harry
Met Sally is on I will not turn the channel but at the same time
the same thing goes for movies like Goodfellas, Ocean’s Eleven,
Billy Madison, Knocked Up and Happy Gilmore though to this day one
of my top 5 favorites is The Natural with Robert Redford.
As far as shows go I love the classics like Seinfeld and Friends
though it kills me to call them “classic”. I love most of the shows
HBO has ever aired like The Sopranos, Big Love, Curb Your
Enthusiasm and I am starting to explore the Boardwalk Empire
series. I enjoy The Walking Dead, Happy Endings, LOST, Scrubs and
The Office. I can be sucked into the Food Network and HGTV for
hours coming away with the energy to not only cook a great meal but
redesign the kitchen at the same time.
Music I lean toward smaller bands like G Love and Special Sauce and
the Beautiful Girls. I love Ska bands like Sublime, The Grandsons,
Pietasters and The Skafflaws. When it comes to my Reggae I like
grass roots style, classic all the way like Toots and the Maytals,
Steel Pulse, Burning Spear and The Skatalities. I enjoy music
venues like the Central Park Summer Stage and Escape from New York
but I also enjoy a good local bar band with a pint in hand.
There isn’t a cuisine that I won’t try or turn away from, I have
eaten rattlesnakes and gator steaks down south and I have enjoyed
cricket tacos on the upper west side. I love anything in the
category of seafood especially at places like Lure or Esca. Sushi
is one of my favorite meals and on occasion I have attempted to
create my own rolls at home though somehow I always end up covered
in more rice then the fish. I love a good steak wine combo at
Quality Meats or beer-n-burger meal at 5 Napkin. I try to eat at
places off the beaten path like the Ear Inn or The Bridge Café.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My Daughter; she is the cutest, sweetest most incredible person in
my life. She makes me not only strive to be a better person and
parent but a role model for her and her future relationships.
Laughter; I love to play jokes, make people smile, laugh at myself
or do my best to make others laugh when they need it most.
Family; I am so fortunate to have my brother and sister counted
among my best friends. The romance and love my parents shared until
my Mom’s passing has served as guide for what I am looking for in
my relationships. My family taught me so much and I am so very
fortunate to have them in my life.
My Friends; my second family which seems to grow every year with
the addition of wives, children, and new friends. A lot can be said
about the people you surround yourself with, this group speaks in
The ocean; my playground, therapist, teacher, trainer, model and
friend, it can sometimes be scary but it’s always exciting.
Adventure; whether I am exploring a new city or my own backyard,
trying new foods, creating a romantic getaway or challenging myself
in a new environment, I love the thrill of trying new things with
an open mind and my eyes wide open.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
New ways to challenge myself both mentally and physically. I love
to learn and play as often as possible. I find myself often
thinking about upcoming trips, outings with friends, planning new
outdoor adventures and finding new creative challenges.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I am relaxing with friends, grabbing a martini or enjoying a nice
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My imagination is always on, think JD from Scrubs.
