Well it's a new year and a new intro. I'm a geek, and you could say I'm educated. I'm fairly easy going and i like to keep things that way if at all possible. I enjoy going out to special events and chilling at home equally. I'm just looking to meet new people, and have new experiences. I'll admit to a little social awkwardness one my part but everyone has some jitters about this online dating thing.

Full disclosure: I'm a drug and alcohol counselor at a place I'm not going to talk about. I'm not in love with the work but it gets the job done. I'm looking towards other fields of interest that take a creative twist. Creativity is an area I'm good with but networking not so much.

I initially come off as quiet, reserved (you could say brooding) but it's just an unfortunately well honed barrier. I like meeting new people and can sometimes be hard to shut up once I'm feeling too comfortable.

Books: Deadpool, The Time Machine, A Wrinkle in Time. I was really into Joss Whedon's run on Astonishing X-men. I'm trying to get into reading more. I'd love some suggestions. I've got a Kindle app so I just need to find the right material. I really like classic sci fi, so the i'm re-reading some of HG Wells work.

Movies: Here's a brief sample: Aliens, Fight Club, Signs, Ghost in the Shell, Children of Men, Blazing Saddles, Face/Off, 300, Full Metal Jacket, The Bourne series, The Hangover, 40 Year old Virgin, District 9, Kick Ass, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World. Honestly there are a lot to mention...too many, some of which are a little embarrassing. It's probably best to ask how I feel about a movie or suggest one that you're fond of.

Music: my tastes are fairly broad so here's some examples: Beastie Boys, Rage Against the Machine, Yoko Kanno, The Pillows, Slipknot, P!nk, No Doubt, I really like movie scores, seriously just ask me about this one too. Sometimes I really dig just listening to Pandora and Spotify.

Protip: Check out the soundtrack the Halo series of video games. You might be surprised by what you hear.

Food: Sushi, Chinese (okay the Americanized version of Chinese food), Italian (too bad bread makes you fat), burgers, fair food, and I have dabbled in Vegan Cuisine. I'm typically very open to trying new foods. I dig Wholefoods and other analogous places from time to time.

Very silly things, random facts about things no one will ever ask me about. Why we don't have flying cars or jet packs everywhere (Damn over promising Back to the Future II). Unfortunately I spend a long of time in my head and over think things. A good smack to the back of the head should snap me outta it.

Playing a video game, watching a movie with friends, or watching stand up comedy.

I've seen the movie Serenity 7 times in the theater. Honestly not the most private but if I said so here then what would I talk about later.
P.S. I find well done tattoo work on a women to be a very attractive thing.
