My self-summary Propose an edit

I'm your typical introverted engineer... minus the typical. Even though I'm a geeky technology freak I'm also a tree-hugging hippie at heart.

I like anything to do with water mostly, and specifically the ocean. Swimming, scuba diving, sailing (though I've never been, I really want to learn), building autonomous boats and underwater vehicles for scientific research, etc. Land stuff is fun too: hiking, creek walking, pumpkin picking, tree climbing, back-roads-exploring, etc.

Enjoying it. I'm being a grad student at Virginia Tech researching underwater vehicle control and navigation.

I guess that I'm kinda tall and tend to flail about. And sometimes I don't talk very much at first. I may also appear European. The German airport ticket counter persons think so anyway.
