Nurse, drummer, gamer, nerd, queer, photographer, writer, night owl and ruffian-at-large, among other things. I can be serious, but prefer to laugh when possible. My interests and my tastes are pretty varied and hard to pin down, although i'm a sucker for interesting socks and good hats.

I'm an ER nurse, so i'm pretty good at taking the good and the bad and the ridiculous as it comes, and making it work. I'm a big fan of learning new things, and willing to try just about anything once, as long as i'm allowed to be silly while doing so. (Usually i do a little dance. No, really.)

I like to read, take road trips, and i spend more time on the internet than i probably should, although i like talking to people in real life too. I have a bad habit of overreliance on parentheses. I make a mean mix tape, although sometimes i get a little perfectionist. I once went to Graceland for reasons i could not explain. I named my cats Frank and Joe, after the Hardy Boys (the detectives, not the wrestlers). I have lousy balance, but excellent recovery skills, meaning i usually stick the landing - or at least tuck and roll. And, last but not least, i make some pretty good cookies.

Working, writing, exploring Madison, road tripping, and trying to figure out what my next step is going to be, although that's a continual process. If i'm not working, i can often be found in my local coffeeshop, mostly because i love the people there. I just started a queer tumblr, which is occupying a good chunk of my brain. Now that the curling season's over (and it's FINALLY getting nice out) i've been riding my bike more, and i'm hoping that by the end of the summer i'll default to riding my bike rather than hopping in the car when i want to go somewhere in town.
