I am a storyteller working as a scenario designer, dialogue writer and systems designer for a startup video game company, as well as doing some more general writing for a few tabletop Roleplaying Game companies. I'm just starting out but I'm doing what I love, and that makes me happy.

I'm creative, educated, analytical, funny and sweet in an off-color sort of way.

Enneagram Type 5. INTP, but very socially functional.

I am: clever, witty, thoughtful, philosophical, open-minded, understanding, loving and excitable.

I am not: easily embarrassed, full of myself, overly serious, judgmental, irresponsible, or a deadbeat.

I'm a nerd levels beyond many nerds, I have picked my areas of expertise and I focus on them to near exclusion, but I'm interested in doing other things, I'm just too shy to do them alone. I could probably use more friends with more varied interests, and that could be you, I'm very good to my friends.

I am a storyteller following his passion and trying to make it work. I am building foundations under my castles in the sky. I have grown out of being a non-contributing member of society and am working and now am focusing on becoming a successful member of society.

Speaking my heart. Making words do what I want them to. Manipulating symbols. Pontificating. Listening. Hugs.

As a storyteller, I love seeing characters suffer, because suffering within a story has meaning, and I adore meaning and abhor meaninglessness. To suffer and grow through your suffering is the most human thing that anyone can experience or portray, I think. Anything which explores this theme intelligently is likely to get my attention and be something I appreciate.

Books: The Necronomicon, Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, William Gibson, Neal Stephenson, Peter F. Hamilton, H.P. Lovecraft, Tanith Lee, George R.R. Martin, J. R. R. Tolkien, China Mieville, Tim Powers.

Movies: Fight Club, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Studio Ghibli, Studio Khara, Mirrormask, Iron Man, The Forbidden Kingdom, Hero, The Fall, Persepolis. I don't see movies alone, so I don't see a lot of movies. I also watch anime like some people termed 'snobs' drink wine, but while I appreciate the medium I don't feel the need to shove that appreciation down anyone's throat.

Music: I hate being asked about what music I like, there's no right answer other than what they like, but the truth for me is there's very little music I dislike. Recently I've been listening to a lot of classic rock, but I really do love most of it, I just don't know the proper words for describing it all.

Food: I'm a big fan of most Asian cuisines, less so European and American with the exception of Italian and some German and Scandinavian. African is usually strange to my tastes but good. In general I'm not picky, I'll try anything.

I could get by without a lot of things. I could probably get by without these things too, but I'd be really annoyed.

Sunlight.

I cannot begin to fill out this box, as much as I would like to. I build worlds and tear them down, write speeches and forget them. One of my friends asked me recently why I come up with all the brilliant ideas. My response was simply 'Because I think.'

Everything melts together, but I'm always thinking about something. Everything I hear, see and listen is fuel for the alchemical furnace of my imagination, which is constantly pouring out stories, scenes, characters and situations.
