I am happy, pretty, and confident.
My Self-Summary
I have had no luck with dating men. Who do I blame for that? Take a
guess...
Having grown tired of wasting my time with larger versions of
adolescents, I am going to give this a shot. I will take hope into
my arms and embrace her with the faith and naivety of a
child.
That's why I'm here. Who am I? I am a 24 year old college graduate.
I pay the rent as both a photographer and freelance writer. I've
shot weddings, portraits, passport photos and hard news. I have
written about politics, music, cooking, and daily news. I am
currently working on a longer, more expansive piece on how various
professions deal with death.
(Technically, I guess that's what I do and not who I am)
What I’m doing with my life
A question my mother frequently asks...
I am trying to establish myself as an artist and as a woman.
"Finding my voice" is the short, confident answer I give on good
days. "Trying not to let anyone know how lost I am" would be the
more truthful answer I give on other days.
I’m really good at
dancing, taking photos, and kissing. I enjoy cooking and look
forward to the day that I can include that on this list.
The first things people usually notice about me
my legs. They go from my hips all the way to the floor. They are
also attached to my feet.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Favorite books - Anything by Amy Tan, John Irving or Kurt Vonnegut.
For non-fiction, I love Studs Terkel, Eric Schlosser, and Hunter
Thompson. I have been trying to work my way through Noam Chomsky
and "Manufacturing Consent" and failing miserably for more than
four years.
Music - I have eclectic tastes. I love jazz. I think Duke Ellington
is America's greatest artist. I enjoy classical music as well. For
daily consumption, I'm more likely to be listening to Suzanne Vega,
U2, Tom Waits, and George Clinton.
Food - Italian is the easy answer, right? I'm not terribly picky
about the types of foods. However, the more I cook, the fussier I
am about the quality of food I eat.
The six things I could never do without
Kisses, great sex, friends, dogs, my Nikon, and unread books.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
...the meaning of it all and which path I will choose.
I have largely decided that this is an accident and it really
doesn't matter what I choose. However, if points are being
accumulated and there is a final score, I would like the judges to
know I filled my life with quality items (sinful, decadent, and
overly-rich though they may be).
On a typical Friday night I am
Enjoying the company of those I cherish.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I have posed nude for a photograph. OK, it was actually a series of
photographs. And I enjoyed it.
I guess that last part was the most private thing. And no...I'm not
doing it again. So don't ask. You go right to the bottom of the
list for actually putting it in your message.
You should message me if
You can come up with a better subject line than "Hi," "Hello," or
some variation of "you're hot."
