My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi there! Thanks for checking out my profile! Before you send me a message please READ my profile. If you aren't looking for something serious then you can stop right now and just move on to the next profile. Good luck with your search. NOW if you are serious please read on. I am someone who is goofy just when you thought you were getting to know my serious side, and deep just when you thought you had me pegged as fun-loving. I am a romantic who is not afraid of the hard work involved in a long term relationship. Trying new things, discovering new places, food, people is great fun for me. Above all things I believe that a romantic relationship must be a friendship as well. One of the biggest things I learned from my last couple of relationships is that I am great at being a girlfriend, but not holding onto to my own identity at the same time. I am changing that. I am a woman who is back on her path to better health - physically and spiritually, pursuing my dreams and answering my calling. Almost a year ago and on the wings of a break-up, I moved from Boston back to CR - my hometown so I am looking to reconnect with old friends and make some new ones.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am a massage therapist and advanced Reiki practitioner. I am a certified yoga teacher, meditation teacher, opera singer, waitress, and serious meditator. I am exploring healing work with crystals and looking into shamanism. I just started taking Spanish with my Mom and have discovered belly dancing and am totally in love with it!! I am searching my soul for that light that shines in all of us and connects us whether we are aware of it or not. My life is about not just speaking my truth but living it.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I am really good at talking AND listening. It is hard for me to say this, but I have a beautiful singing voice. I am good at taking care of others more than myself. I am great at being open minded, but true to my own sense of ethics and simple morality at the same time.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My friend says that I should put down that the first things people notice about me is I am entertaining and sometimes boisterous with a great sense of humor and a beautiful smile.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I love sushi and tex mex, but am open to trying anything at least once (except dog, sorry I don't object to others eating dog, I just can't do it myself).

I am drawn to movies with an excellent script - more than genre - and there also has to be fantastic acting. Some of my more recent favorites have been Silver Linings Playbook, 12 Years a Slave (1box of tissue per eye), The Butler, (so freakin good!!), Argo, Midnight in Paris, Black Swan, The Lord of the Rings, etc, etc.

I also must admit that my music taste is a bit old fashioned. I would take Bing Crosby over Britney Spears or The Beatles rather than Back Street Boys ANY day! Of course I love "classical" music, opera, musical theatre, ballet, and just about any music with a date of 1920 to 1973. I have an old soul....what can I say?

As far as books, I LOVE to read: for fun, for my spirit, to learn. I am currently reading Game of Thrones, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, and a book about Shamanism. I have to say that I never expected to fall in love with fantasy, but after reading Lord of the Rings, someone suggested that I read the Wheel of Time. I LOVED it, and that led me to Game of Thrones. I have realized good writing and/or great characters and/or great stories transcend genre.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My family
2. My independence
3. Friends
4. Meditation and yoga
5. Oxygen (hehehe)
6. Love (that's why I am on this site, right?)

****these are not in any particular order****
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
It sounds cliche, but learning to walk my path without expectation of what that is and balancing my time and attention between all the things I love in this world. What is happiness and how can I be happier? What is really important, how I can be a better citizen in this world, how I can take care of myself better in order to be better at taking care of my brothers and sisters on this planet? When will lightsabers be real (so cool) and can we achieve world peace before we need them(hopefully!!)?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Usually working at the restaurant where I wait tables.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I like to have mini private dance parties in my car while I drive to work or the grocery store on sunny spring or autumn days.
I’m looking for

You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Message me if you like to talk AND listen. Drop me a line if you are open minded, fun-loving, and dig deep conversations and wild laughter. DON'T message me if you are under 30, married, or looking for just a sex partner. And just a bit of advice, fellas, if you are serious about looking for a girlfriend or wife READ her profile. Then when you message her give her something to go on. Don't just tell her she is pretty, or say "hi" or " how U doin." Girls get a lot of messages on this thing. Most of them are like that. The ones who are looking for more than a hook-up use a 1 - 5 word response as a way to filter out to whom they are NOT going to respond. I'm just saying. A girl who puts in effort wants effort back.....
