My self-summary
I am a curious and nerdy art-minded brick in the wall who enjoys reading about complex theories and ideas; and has a serious infatuation with mid-century anything, b-movies, and 80's music.

I love the outdoors, hiking, camping, kayaking, fishing and not catching anything. Beer and wine are great too.

I dig hippieshit, music, design, literature, histories, sciences, ridiculousness, movies, humor, museums, color, love, peace, and harmony.

I often insist people have more tolerance and open-mindedness.

I enjoy dreaming, traveling, observing, partaking, whimsy, nonsense, honesty, ideation, dictionaries, "intelligent" conversation and debates.

I dislike: those too busy, caught up in things that don't matter; working more than living; big houses; those who take the world for granted; a large percentage of my peers; marathon runners; those that use religion to describe them first and foremost; people who put themselves up on pedestals; Coors Light, those who don't take time to think about the bigger picture; people who take everything too seriously; those who never take anything seriously; violence, ignorance, and intolerance. And lists. Yeah. Sorry but they're easy.

I oft tend to get stuck in a phantasmagoric dream state, draw birds, paint colorful backgrounds, write frightening verse and suffer the burden of short term memory problems all too often.
What I’m doing with my life
I might be wandering, chilling, being sarcastic, or creating: crafts, machinations, whatever. Working, M T Th F currently. Looking for a new job. Taking each day as it comes while trying to plan out my future like all the other mindless drones. I don't go to as many concerts or festivals as I'd like.

I think it'd be sweet to do the AT sometime in my life.
I’m really good at
Being nonsensical and losing track of time.
Hiking over 10 miles at a time.
Playing the Devil's advocate.
Making tofu tasty.
Falling asleep while watching movies on the couch but rarely when in bed.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm a girl, crooked glasses, aloof, confused, or annoyed look on face, that I just tripped or ran into something and swore. Possibly humming a song.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I declare myself Queen of Escapism and I shall rule over all. I will not give up my title, don't even ask; you're going to have to invade, but I promise you will not penetrate my defenses! Pew! Pew! Pew!

Books: I'm really quite a bibliophile. I read mostly classics and enjoy psychological thrillers, adventure, fantasy, sci-fi, horror, gothic, historical, philosophy, mystery and satire. Bierce, Camus, Hugo, Kafka, etc. Very much enjoy the Star Trek series and would like to get back into the Sword of Truth series currently.

Movies: I love movies. Highlander, Blade Runner, Grandma's Boy, I quote Super Troopers in daily conversation, Arsenic & Old Lace, I really love old horror and sci-fi films especially, but all old films really, 30's to 60's mainly: comedy, (Laurel and Hardy, Abbott and Costello), detective, silent, etc., 70's and 80's had some good sci-fi and horror, no romance/rom-coms just can't get into them sorry, Godzilla/monster movies, cult films, schlock, experimental, odd, obscure, b-movies, indie films, documentaries, whatever.
I enjoy Lifetime movies for comedic relief every once in a while.

Television: I love Star Trek TOS, It's Always Sunny, Drunk History, True Blood, Justified, Project Runway and Catfish, which btw freaks me out! I am still depressed that Legend of the Seeker was canceled. Thoroughly enjoyed Fringe, Dexter (both aside from their last season), Breaking Bad, Shield, L Word.

Music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WoArmEu-9Xk
Also love jam bands. YEM is probably the greatest song in the world to ever exist ever. I also like: indie, new wave, shoegazing, art rock, outsider, lo-fi, alternative rock, folk-pop, punk, post-punk, good metal, various other genres, I'm into a lot of 20's to 70's, disco, good and corny 80's, a bit of swing and classical, gothic americana, whatever's good (no j-pop/jrock/wtf though).
Do I have better taste in music than you? Yes. But that's okay because I'm not that big of a music snob.

Food: Vegetarian. Meat is murder. Go PETA! Everyone stop eating meat and just stop all interaction with animals. NOW!

Kidding. (Sorry, I tend to do that.)

Honestly, I used to be one and I'm not so much anymore. Never was a PETA person. I still eat a lot of veggie meals, seriously love raw foods, but currently consume meat, dairy (well, I drink almond, coconut, whatever milk, I hate cows milk *shudder*) and what else about half the time. Don't hate me for it please. Or that I am into hunting, because it really is the most humane way to get your meat. Habanero sauce owns.
The six things I could never do without
Art utensils, good music, a good book, iced tea, carrot sticks, and some witty banter here and there.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future when all's well, various points in history, psychology, what I need to get done instead of actually getting it done, science fiction, various science topics, daydreaming about made up lands, people, why people are so unhappy, art projects, writing topics, what I'm currently reading, over all random topics.
On a typical Friday night I am
It really depends, I might be out if I have a stitch to wear, at a bar, conversing, adventuring, hiking, art making, working on something or other with or without others and the like, you know, stuff and things.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
When in public I like to look at people I've never met, particularly ones who are emanating a particular emotion and I imagine their lives. I create a sixty-second history between us and am inevitably disappointed when it comes time for one of us to leave without having said a word nor made eye contact.

Most of my "camping" trips turn into brewery trips with hiking and fishing thrown in for good measure.

I'm usually sarcastic and I can't stand neediness. Some people think that makes me a bitch. I'm not really.

I vote Libertarian. I don't think voting is supporting the horrible stuff that goes on in government, I see it as a way to participate in upping numbers for groups other than the two-party system. Most people don't vote and things continue to go down the shitter, so not voting is not something I see as okay. At least use it to wake other people up. Okay I don't keep that one too private but I figured I should mention it.
