My self-summary
For the most part, I'm doing this for kicks-- a bit of chitter chatter here and there. New friends are always fun.

Also, I'm your classic ENFJ.
What I’m doing with my life
I am a military brat, so I don't know exactly how respond to the "Where are you from?" interrogation. I've lived from one coast to the other, out to Hawaii, and some places in between. I impressed myself when I got accepted and attended MIT out of high school, but I soon realized it wasn't for me (if you'd like to know more, ask) and took a 180-degree turn, moved closer to my family and friends (who resided in Georgia since 2000), and pursued an Early Childhood Education Degree. Loved the remainder of my college experience, but I didn't want to teach (which works out because there were no teaching jobs available when I graduated!). In 2007, upon graduating, I moved to the DC metro area where I've started building a career path, with its twists and turns, toward Marketing for a luxury residential community in NWDC. I'm also now a full-time art student (!!!) at the Academy of Art University (online) to pursue a degree in Interior Architecture and Design.

Focusing on my personal wellbeing-- physical, emotional, social, and spiritual. Good health is underrated.
I’m really good at
A few friends have noted that I do spot-on impressions of just about anyone. Grammar and spelling. Listening and counseling. Laughing. Making others laugh is the only pastime I value above laughing itself.
The first things people usually notice about me
My complexion. My flair for sometimes-quirky fashion.

People have commented on my voice (whether negatively or positively). It's been described as "a little deep and very poised".

My energy. Maybe borderline neurosis?

Overall, people tend to describe me as vibrant, outgoing, charismatic, smart, and fun.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books and music are everchanging.

Musically, I tend to have a guilty obsession with good pop music. I also lovelove a lot of indie rock and synthy sounds. Walk the Moon, Foster the People, Passion Pit, Vampire Weekend, M83, Kimbra, Regina Spektor, Death Cab for Cutie, and some old school Third Eye Blind, to name a few (this list will likely evolve, as well).

Favorite movies include Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, I Love You Man, Candy, and The Science of Sleep.

Food... I love to cook and experiment... but I'm a sucker for "little kid" foods. Finger foods? Party snacks? I'm there.

How I Met Your Mother trumps all. Oh, and Flight of the Conchords. Michel Gondry is a directorial genius.
The six things I could never do without
My ever-evolving and complex relationship with a God of my understanding; My baby sister; Creativity and a platform on which to express it; Coffee; Reese's Peanut Butter Cups; Party Peanuts; My cats (yes, I have 2 cats. This should filter out a few of you, haha); A working internet connection; Indie Rock; My ma
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life, love, religion/God, society, the goodness of mankind, and how to relay my message so that it's funny to *everyone*.
On a typical Friday night I am
Schoolwork and/or getting ready for my Saturday (as my weekends are in the middle of everyone else's work week)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm not a very private person. I'm kind of an open book type. I figure if you're willing to ask, you can handle the response.

But let's see... I'm willing to admit that my energetic and spunky nature comes with its pitfalls-- I can be a little hotheaded, argumentative, and/or obsessive if you press certain buttons. Some of you will think this has something to do with my Zodiac... Some might think it's because I'm Latina... At the end of the day, it's all very Leesh.
I’m looking for
  • Everybody
  • Ages 20–36
  • Near me
  • For new friends
You should message me if
I don't typically put a negative spin on things, but I have to address one glaring pet peeve of mine.

You should message me if you like people who like to talk. You should not message me, however, if you don't take religion at least somewhat seriously. You don't have to match me in personal philosophy (nigh impossible), but you have to take some ownership in your own beliefs. Moral/religious conviction are a huge turn-on for me-- not in the sexual sense, but rather, I find it rather intriguing and refreshing when you express a serious stance on the matter.

P.S. Is every other girl on OKC "bisexual", or is that just a desperate attempt to sound sexually adventurous?
