My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Classic ENFJ.

Just to be upfront: I am sober/straight-edge. So if you're looking to grab drinks, I'm not the girl you're looking for.
(^I do hang with people who drink, mind you. Just to be clear, if you're trying to lower my inhibitions, you'd better hope the bar's cherry cokes have the kind of grenadine that puts me in a sweetness stupor.)

*I'm starting to see this site as more of a distraction than a mode for finding a romantic connection. However, I am open to someone coming along, sweeping me off my feet, and proving me wrong. I'll admit defeat when it happens, promise.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I hike. I kayak. I travel, travel, travel...
^^Is what 9/10 of the profiles on this site look like. Not mine.

I love walking cities. I love the city I live in. I love admiring architecture, people, art, books, and fashion. I love a hearty mix of goofy, senseless chatter (complete with movie quotes, silly voices, and belly laughs) and deep, philosophical discussions about life, its meaning, mental health, and how creativity plays a part in it all. And singing. Sing with me, please. Even if we suck at it.

I work in Marketing and have a strong entrepreneurial streak, so feel free to ask me what project I'm working on at the moment that likely won't take off.

I am currently attaining my Master's in Fashion Design.

Don't let the cool kid vibes fool you. I grew up an honors nerd, a mathlete, chunky, shopping at the JCPenney clearance rack, but spunky and loving life.

I've been in the DC area since 2007, DC proper since 2011, and hopefully NYC by 2017.

Focusing on my personal wellbeing-- physical, emotional, social, and spiritual. Good health is underrated.

Aside from my full-time job, I have a ton of side projects. I'm psyched to start styling/designing for one of my favorite bands!

I start a lot of sentences with "I", which I've read is a sign of narcissism. I'm not apt to disagree just yet. At least you'll never hear me ask if I look pretty or if this makes me look fat.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
A few friends have noted that I do spot-on impressions of just about anyone. Quoting comedies verbatim and always having an applicable quote for the situation at hand. It gets kind of annoying at times, I'm sure.

Grammar and spelling. Listening and counseling. Laughing. Making others laugh is the only pastime I value above laughing itself.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My complexion. My flair for sometimes-quirky fashion.

I sound like ScarlettJohansson and look vaguely like her in The Nanny Diaries... Actually my mom pointed that out, so it must be true.

My energy. Maybe borderline neurosis?

Overall, people tend to describe me as vibrant, outgoing, charismatic, smart, and fun.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books and music are everchanging.

I read a lot of memoirs and Capote. Actually, that's about all I read.

Musically, I tend to have a guilty obsession with good pop music. I also lovelove a lot of indie rock and synthy sounds. Walk the Moon, Foster the People, Passion Pit, Vampire Weekend, M83, Kimbra, Regina Spektor, Death Cab for Cutie, and some old school Third Eye Blind, to name a few (this list will likely evolve, as well).
*Magic Man, St. Lucia, The Cinema, Tegan & Sara, Sylvan Esso, Banks, Panama Wedding, The Kite String Tangle, Wet
Um sidenote: Who wants to start an indie tribute band with a female vocalist?

Favorite movies include Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, I Love You Man, Candy, and The Science of Sleep.

Food... I love to cook and experiment... but I'm a sucker for "little kid" foods. Finger foods? Party snacks? I'm there.

How I Met Your Mother trumps all. Oh, and Flight of the Conchords. Michel Gondry is a directorial genius.... Key and Peele, Inside Amy Schumer, currently working on Bored to Death. And COPS. COPS never fails.
UPDATE: I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think I'm at a point where I love FotC more than HIMYM.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My ever-evolving and complex relationship with a God of my understanding; My baby sister; Creativity and a platform on which to express it; Coffee; Reese's Peanut Butter Cups; Party Peanuts; My cats (yes, I have 2 cats. This should filter out a few of you, haha... Actually one of them is a little bitch. I might could do without her. Let me think it through as she wins me over during her bouts of bedtime snuggles.); A working internet connection; Indie Rock; My ma
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Life, love, religion/God, society, the goodness of mankind, and how to relay my message so that it's funny to *everyone*.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Schoolwork and/or getting ready for my Tuesday (as my weekends are in the middle of everyone else's work week)... And karaoke on my PS3 or my karaoke app. Karaoke all day err day.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm bad about eye contact on a first date. In most facets of life, I am vibrant and confident. In work and friendships, eye contact is easy-peasy. On first dates, however, I get that job-interview sort of "how do I do this? Look at his mouth? Yeah, that. Oh, no, he just saw me look at him!" sort of neurosis.

I'm also a crazy finicky eater (we're called "super tasters" so says a special I saw on 20/20, and I'm sure there's a strong element of xenophobia).

So, yeah, unfortunately the worst of my neuroses are exactly what come out on a first date. If we make it to the second, it should be smooth sailing.

Also, I'm very picky when it comes to men. I have a particular type/aesthetic and quirk that I gravitate towards. Don't take offense if you don't happen to be the probably-unicorn I am looking for
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
1. You're really, really ridiculously goodlooking,
2. You've got a strong goofball streak and keep the laughs a-comin',
3. You're capable of having a bones-deep conversation if the occasion arises,
4. You have a cat.

P.S. I don't typically put a negative spin on things, but I have to address one glaring pet peeve of mine. Is every other girl on OKC "bisexual", or is that just a desperate attempt to sound sexually adventurous? Making out with a girl at a bar to get a guy's attention does not a bisexual make. Being open to a threesome so your boyfriend will validate you does not a bisexual make.
