My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Most unfortunately born in Texas, I've also lived in China and Mexico. I write poetry and prose (a lot of both at the same time). Art in any form is very important to me. I went through a lengthy phase where all I wanted was to be a Buddhist hermit. I meditate. I love the weather here.

I read entirely too much.

I get along well with unique people with wide interests. Also queers and hippies and punks and foreigners.

I like all the usual Portland stuff-craft beer, coffee, hiking, food carts, dive bars, biking, high weirdness.

Mexico City is my favorite place on the planet.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Writing, reading, hiking, meditating, considering law school. Someone pay me to walk around the world writing poetry and learning languages.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Finding out how to get places in places I've never been, poems, describing beer, yoga (not too big on asanas; the yogi(ni) never stops), walking obscene distances, meditating, literary things, cleansing the doors of perception, pronouncing words or incoherent streams of letters, figuring things out, meaninglessness
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm very tall with long hair (I get the occasional Game of Thrones comment when meeting people for the first time). I'm fairly quiet.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The people I love, poems, coffee/tea, meditation, music in some form, not being in Texas
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How we experience existence, world lit, language, morality, beer, cognitive archaeology, international politics, weed, music, 'How do you know but that ev'ry bird that cuts the airy way, is an immense world of delight, clos'd by your senses five?'
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At a bar/strip club drinking some ridiculous beer with friends or reading.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Slugs are my greatest fear.

You're interesting. You like dive bars, weed and Adventure Time. You meditate. You've been on Mt. Tabor many times, but never "hiked" it (because you can't hike a cinder cone of that size). You like Hungarian poetry/novels/movies. You're overwhelmingly attracted to my profile pictures.

Note: I really don't have a "type". I find all kinds of personalities and bodies attractive and unattractive. No judgement. I've been attracted to gender nonconforming people in the past and expect to be in the future. Sometimes I won't respond to someone who sounds really interesting simply because I've been talking to other interesting people and don't have the time. Don't take silence as a slight.
