Cosmology and the origin(s) of consciousness. I lived a year on Moorea recently training for a 12 mile swim. At first I simply studied the southern hemisphere sky. Then started reading books about the history of cosmology. I'm good at math and took some science in college but found I needed to read many different books that each explained the physics of cosmology. My goal is to catch up to the current grand unifying theories. GUTS While I am atheist I am intrigued by the role of philosophy and religion in the historical development of cosmological theories.
