My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
The self-summary seems pretty redundant with all the questions they ask here...but here's a few things that aren't covered yet. I'm a useless fact junkie who roots for the little guy and loves a good dirty joke. My favorite place in the world is sitting around my mom's kitchen table. I'm relieved to finally know my height in meters (Thanks OkCupid!). I'm a bit of a romantic and an adventure junkie who's just as likely to run off white water rafting or sky diving over the weekend as chilling at home with a new recipe and a good movie. It sort of feels like I've been answering questions about myself for this thing for far too long as it is now, so check back, if you're so inclined, for new developments.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Makin' movies.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Rocking out in the car (related: singing all the words to "We Didn't Start the Fire"), grilling, self deprecating humor, making my nephews "fly", crossword puzzles, run-on sentences, hitting the snooze button, taking the edge off a bad day, hanging curtains, compiling lists of things I'm good at.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
What a weird would I find this out..."nice to meet you, what was the first thing you noticed about me?"...strange
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Music: Ignite, Band of Horses, Stevie Wonder, Radiohead, Elliott Smith, Neil Diamond, Prince, Eric Clapton, The Sugarhill Gang (I'm quite eclectic is what I'm trying to say here)
Movies: Cool Hand Luke (Anything with Paul Newman, really), Adaptation, The Best Years of Our Lives, Anchorman, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Assassination of Jesse James, the Godfather (this list of movies could seriously go on forever so I'll have to intervene for the sake of everyone's interest)
Books:This Side of Paradise (F.S. Fitzgerald), Paradise Lost (Milton), Lullaby and Survivor (Palahniuk), Demian (Hesse)
Shows: The Ricky Gervais Show, Dexter, Family Guy, Boardwalk Empire, the game (that's not a show really, but sports in general sit pretty high on that list)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. the Fam and Friends.
2. Lyla...silly little dog.
3. the ipod...soundtrack of my life.
4. ketchup...makes everything taste good.
5. hoody for every occasion
6. my camera...pretty self explanatory
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What my dog is thinking. She's always either giving me a very loaded look or sighing. What does a dog have to sigh about? What could possibly be weighing on her mind?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably at the movie theater or hanging at some new restaurant with the friends. Maybe even catching up on some Tivo.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I actually love Rocky 4. Its not very private but its a little embarrassing.
