I am geeky, sardonic, and silly.

My Self-Summary

I'm a geek. Which means I like to study things and look for the beautiful and absurd. I like modern art, music of all types, riding my bike

What I’m doing with my life

I'm studying optics and working. I go hiking when I can.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books! Yay! I love Sandman, The Cyberiad, anything by or about Feynman, and SICP.

My two favoritve movies are Princess Mononoke and The City of Lost Children.

I don't really have a favorite type of music. I like literally all sorts of stuff (Early music to contemporary. Rock to rap to synth-pop).

Some particular favorites right now are Joana Newsom (because it's fall), Carl Stone (because his music's just so great), and Erin McKeown (because I just downloaded a new album)

Other favorites: My favorite web comic is Something Positive (Nobody Scores is a close second). My favorite print comic is Zippy the Pinhead.

The six things I could never do without

My notebook, my bicycle, the interwebs, good music, local college radio, counting to six.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

I'm taking a class in electromagnetic right now, so I spend a fair amount of time thinking about how to find an E-field.
