I am ornamental, finicky, and soft-spoken.
My Self-Summary
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iG3VfKlfDEk
Please don't send me winks. Write me a real message. I'll ignore
winks. If you send me a wink, seriously, I'll KNOW that you
couldn't even be bothered to read the very first sentence in my
profile.
PS Favoriting me doesn't count as a message either. It's actually
really kind of creepy when it's NOT accompanied by a message.
Now that I sound like a complete bitch, let's move on to the rest
of my profile.
Update 11/10/09: Hi everyone. Sorry, but I have a boyfriend now.
The chance of me responding to your message before this was about
3%, now it's about 0.5%. I might read it, but I probably won't read
your profile as I said I would in the last section on this page.
And I'm really not reading many of the messages. I have 21 of them
just sitting in my inbox now. That's how lazy I am.
What I’m doing with my life
Right now I'm in college, with hopes to go on to law school. I'm
taking five classes this semester. Unfortunately, I feel like I'm
growing dumber by the day.
I also work at American Eagle Outfitters, and volunteer a few times
a week at an organization called The Perfect Fit. They provide
outfits and suits for low-income women going on job interviews.
The first things people usually notice about me
Golden smile, you've got style that they can't take away.
I really wish I could say something standard like "my eyes" but
I've never had a guy in a passing car yell "NICE EYES" at me.
Oh, and I was at the mall one day and a guy walked up to me and
complimented my "strut." And he wasn't even one of those people
trying to peddle lotion or whatever.
"Everything about her was at once vigorous and exquisite, at once
strong and fine. He had a confused sense that she must have cost a
great deal to make, that a great many dull and ugly people must, in
some mysterious way, have been sacrificed to produce her."
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: Chuck Palahniuk (he wrote Fight Club) and I guess what you
would call "classic literature." I love Edith Wharton. I don't read
for pleasure nearly as much as I used to. It's mostly textbooks
now.
Movies: Borat - Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit
Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, Cruel Intentions, Gone Baby Gone,
Gone with the Wind (yes, all four hours of it), Little Miss
Sunshine, Paradise Now, Prisoner of Paradise, The Hangover (he
practically bankrupted a casino and he was a rehTARD), The
Shawshank Redemption, Thumbsucker, V for Vendetta.
Music: I have to admit, I have a soft spot for "pop" music. I love
Relient K to death and had the great pleasure of meeting them in
2008. I also like Mae and Snow Patrol. Musicals hold a special
place in my heart.
Food: I love seafood, Mexican, and Chinese.
And, just for fun... Television: The Office, ER, Grey's Anatomy,
House (I guess I just really like medical dramas), Lost, the Daily
Show, and Law & Order (all of them but Criminal Intent is my
favorite).
The six things I could never do without
1. Food, water, shelter, family, friends, blah blah blah. The
obvious stuff. I'm just going to count this as one.
2. Books and education. Gotta keep my mind sharp.
3. Goals. What's the point of living life if you don't have any
goals? Whether it's saving up for a pair of cute shoes or wanting
to go to law school, goals keep me motivated.
4. Turkey and brie sandwiches from Cosi. It's literally all I eat
when I'm at work.
5. GPS. I don't know what I did before I had it. It's saved me from
calling my mom crying so many times. Somehow this actually never
happened before I had GPS. No kidding, I get really upset when I'm
lost.
6. Entertainment: the Internet in general, music, movies, plays,
musicals, television, games.
On a typical Friday night I am

(No, not really.)
Either working, hanging out with a friend, or on a date. Sometimes
I spend time with my family and I really enjoy that.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
If I could travel to any point in time, I would go back to August
25th, 2005. I have my reasons.
You should message me if
You should message me if you know that "a lot" is two words, not
one. I'm also a huge sucker for guys who open car doors. I don't
care if it is antiquated, I think it's very nice and
thoughtful.
You should also message me if you actually bothered to read my
profile, not just look at my pictures. A couple guys have messaged
me saying I sound like a bitch but I think I'm a really decent,
sweet, ladylike girl. I just have high expectations, and I don't
think that I should have to change that just to make someone more
comfortable.
I feel I should note that I do, in fact, look at the profile of
every single person who messages or IMs me. I read every. Single.
Word. Of every profile of every person who contacts me. As you can
imagine, this is not only exhausting, but very time-consuming as
well. I'm not even sure why I do it. I guess I just want to give
everyone an equal chance. So, I can promise you that I'll read your
profile, but I CANNOT promise you that I will reply. Sorry!
^ Ignore that, see first section. ^
