My self-summary
Is this a thing people are capable of doing? Well, I'm a couple years out of college. I'm an army logistics officer at Fort Lewis, which consumes most of my time. I recently got back from a deployment, and I'm hoping to stay in western Washington for a few years. My priorities are being a good friend to the ones I have, being a part of my episcopal church to some degree, and not being wasteful.

Oh, I'm also a Midwestern ex-pat. I grew up in Indiana, went to college in Illinois, then the military decided I needed a dose of the best coast, and I'm doing my best to stay here.
What I’m doing with my life
Working full-time on weekdays. Working no time on weekends. Yep.

I really like my work and I think I'd like to make the military a career. My short term goal is to go law school at UW and then (long-term) stay in the Army as an attorney.

Personally, I try to commit time every week to my groups of friends and make those relationships matter. I also sing for the choir at my parish, something I hadn't done since high school but really have enjoyed getting back in to.
I’m really good at

The first things people usually notice about me
"Hey, that guy's hair is pretty short." In fairness, it is.

I really like to be verbose with people and enjoy a good conversation as much as anything.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Since lists are inherently impossible, I'll just arbitrarily limit myself to three per

Books: Billy Budd by Melville, The Great Divorce by Lewis, The Accidental Guerilla by David Kilcullen

Movies: The Tree of Life, 5 cm per Second, Taps

Shows: Louie, Parks and Rec, Seinfeld

Music: Tribe Called Quest, Fiona Apple, whatever NPR tells me to listen to
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Punctuation;

I honestly think a lot about my future/career. I usually take a long time to decide things, so I prefer to let ideas properly marinate. That can look a lot like thinking in circles.

I think a lot about the people in my life. I don't know if I always express it rightly, but I'm very lucky to have the numerous avenues of support and friendship that I do.
