My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm an INFP if you are familiar with Myers Briggs. I love music, books, and good beer. I find inside jokes, good conversation, and interesting humor delightful. My favorite color is green. I have a thing for elephants, snails, turtles, sloths, squids & most insects/spiders. I really enjoy learning - mostly grammar, vocabulary, interesting random facts, and recently I've developed an interest in science. And it would seem that I like listing things that interest me, but don't actually tell you much about who I am.

I will tell you that I'm not your average girlie. I've been told that I have more of a dude's mentality. I basically can't be offended, and I find humor in poop, boogers, and farts. I'm pretty easygoing. I like beards and the culture that comes with 'em. In a group of people, I'm more likely to be found with the guys drinking a beer than with the girls drinking a cosmo and talking about the latest quiz in see what I did there?
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Living my life to the fullest. Nope. That's a joke. I'm doing what I have to right now...I've been working in distribution for the past 5 years and am well on my way to being stuck there if I don't make some changes quickly. And the truth is that this line of work is not for me. I need change. Quarters mostly.

Also, I've recently gotten my first adult bike. I've been riding with some friends around Decatur and enjoying it immensely.

From what I've been reading recently, I think that I'm supposed to be training for a 5K or a marathon of some other sort. I must have missed the memo that I'm supposed to be training to run from something...what exactly is it that is going to be chasing us?
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Memorizing song lyrics.

freakishly good.

Remembering the things that people say, stories they tell, and things they write. This is different from just paying attentions...which happens to also be one of my strong points.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Recently, I'd have to say people notice my glasses. I've just joined the world of glasses-wearers, and I've found that people comment on my frames often. I'm fond of them, and it seems that others are, too. Aside from that, I'm relatively quiet at first, so I don't draw a lot of attention to myself. I do have a decent rack, though. So maybe, if you were asking a guy, he'd say that?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books - I've been listening to Harry Potter on my commute to and from work. Quite enjoyable. John Green, Kurt Vonnegut, Jack Kerouac, Shel Silverstein, Augusten Burroughs, TC Boyle. I sort of love high school required reading...y'know , the stuff that they "made" you read. I've found that when I go back and read it as an adult, I love it. A fine example is The Giver by Lois Lowry. I'm on the hunt for something non-fiction that can hold my interest. I read A People's History of the United States: 1492-Present, but while classified as non-fiction, I think it's up for debate...maybe it depends on who you ask. I'm not typically into magazines, however, Mental Floss feeds my trivial knowledge addiction.

Movies - Pulp Fiction, Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Pi, The Big Lebowski, Alice in Wonderland, The NeverEnding Story, Donnie Darko, Requiem for a Dream, & The Reader. I realized, as I've recently watched all of Aronofsky's films, that I'm a big fan of his work.

Shows - I'm about 5 years late on discovering How I Met Your Mother, but I'm rolling right through the episodes. Others that I enjoy: Dexter, Shameless, Psych, Nurse Jackie, The Sopranos.

I've also been listening to the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy radio series. It's had me in stitches more than once.

Music - Perpetual Groove, Blind Melon, Mumford & Sons, Miles Davis, Bela Fleck, The Grateful Dead, Boards of Canada, Radiohead, Medeski, Martin & Wood, RJD2, Neutral Milk Hotel, Under the Porch, The Avett Brothers, Beastie Boys, Pink Floyd, Steely Dan, ofMontreal, John Scofield, Phish, Les Claypool, Primus, Beck, Umphrey's Mcgee, Rusted Root, Skydog Gypsy, Gomez, & Talking Heads

Food - I've just discovered that I really dig Indian cuisine. I'm also a fan of most things spicy. I try to eat a lot of vegetables and fruit.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Burt's Bees
tiny beach balls

I was recently asked by a friend a not-so-original question, "If your house were to catch on fire, and you had only a few minutes to grab things, what would you grab?"

My answer:
my books, my computers...anything else would just be a bonus.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I think about over-thinker. It's generally not about the things that are going to happen, but the things that have happened. What exactly did it mean? It is ridiculous, and I know this.

I've also been spending a considerable amount of time thinking about where to go with my airline credits...if you have any suggestions, please pass them my way.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I'm not sure that I have a "typical" Friday night these days. I like to check out live music and get together with friends...or both. I enjoy listening to records and having impromptu dance parties in the living room. I'm usually game for whatever...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm relatively open. I can't find a "most private" thing to admit. If you'd like to know something the best way is to ask.

I do like awkwardness. Just a warning.
