I've just moved to boston to get a masters in music. I'm a sensualist who sometimes forgets his body and a thinker with wide interests who values simple speech. I'm sometimes a little rough around the edges, but be patient, and you'll realize that at the heart of things I'm a truly solid guy. school keeps me busy, but I've got just enough free time to want to meet someone.

experimenting with music at the moment. I find that having an intense academic / professional life that centers around creativity tends to sap the creativity out of the rest of me, and I'm not really cool with that. after spending a long day struggling with fantastic and engrossing artistic challenges (most recently, programming a keyboard to play sounds reminiscent of a crack addict's pawned radio for a film-based chamber ensemble), I find myself returning home exhausted, cooking up some pasta and going to bed early. I want more - to explore boston's dumpsters, to learn to cook better and grow more of my own food, to generally have more fun. my interests are much wider than the scope of my current lifestyle, so who knows what the future holds.... more music? history? farming? you?

giving people the impression that I'm a lot more ambitious than I really am.

- bach, the books, the blue scholars
- beer and wings, or anything else

how to live well, how to make ends meet in the long run, how larger social and economic forces influence what I do as an individual (and vice versa), sex, artsy shit

at least in the beginning, I'm very visually oriented. that means if you don't fit my definition of attractive, I'd rather not waste your time. this isn't a trait I'm particularly proud of, but it's a real one, so I figure it's better to be up front about it with both you and myself.

you think, you feel, you're local, you're looking for companionship, and you're not out to prove anything. I tend to be very physical, so it probably won't work if you're saving yourself for marriage, but ultimately, relationship is where it's at for me, so ideally that's what you're looking for too.
