My self-summary
I once ate so many chocolate chip cookies that I temporarily went blind. It was a dare. I regret nothing.

My love of all things cultured is outweighed only by my aversion to all things pretentious. I refuse to wait in line for any establishment serving alcohol but will wait for hours at Pho 75 in Rosslyn. They put pixie dust in their broth.
What I’m doing with my life
I write music. I play guitar, piano, and harmonica. Sometimes I play shows. Sometimes they're in my apartment. I also founded an environmental education nonprofit in an attempt to save the world in a non-smug way.
I’m really good at
Board games, random lawn games, and other games that you can't turn into a career.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Favorite Books: Submarine, the movie is better than the book, but both are fantastic. Random psychology and human behavior books like Quiet and This Is Your Brain On Music. The middle school me feels compelled to include Ender's Game. And anything by Augusten Burroughs.

Favorite Music: Any Ben Cooper project - Radical Face, Electric President, if he recorded himself playing with a yo-yo, I'd listen to it. Youth Lagoon, Say Hi, WU LYF, Oberhofer, Blind Pilot, Sufjan Stevens, Jumbling Towers, Andy Shauf, Okkervil River, Ola Podrida. A large majority of my records are motown, soul, and classic rock. And yes, they sound better on vinyl. And never modern country. Never.

Favorite Shows: If Larry David is somehow involved, I'll watch it. Same goes for Jon Stewart. It's Always Sunny, especially episodes when Charlie yells. Also, I miss 3rd Rock From the Sun.
The six things I could never do without
1. music
2. Kindle
3. frozen dark chocolate
4. that little tripod that keeps the pizza cheese from sticking to the top of the box
5. bullet points
6. big burritos
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How fantastic sporks are in theory and how ridiculously useless they are in practice.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I still get choked up when Mufasa dies.
