My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I actually like working in DC, though I hate that it doesn't have Congressional representation (that comment probably says a bit about me), which is why I live in Silver Spring -- right across the border, where I get some pretty decent members of Congress, and the new downtown "Silver Sprung." (When DC gets the vote, I'll consider moving). I've been here since 2001, and I still love it. I am hard working, dedicated, and determined
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
First job in DC was six years in the media relations department of a national non-profit organization that advocates on civil liberties issues, I did press/communications work for a very progressive Member of Congress, did a stint with a national political campaign, and am now working for the federal government.

I love it - it's great to have jobs where you get to work on stuff you actually care about. I'm also involved with a few local organizations, and try to stay on top of the issues.
