I love design of all types. I'm into board games and am always
looking to try new beers. If I could meet anyone alive or dead it
would President Lincoln because...it's Lincoln. In 5th grade I
dressed up as the guy for "Character Day". My Mom made me an
awesome top hat out of cardboard that was the envy of the class.
What I’m doing with my life
Designing things. Learning to care for plants – did you know how easy it is to propagate some plants? Enjoying the outdoors. Looking for opportunities.
I recently took up geocaching. If you want to go exploring, let me know.
The first things people usually notice about me
You'd have to ask people who've met me.
I've been getting nice compliments on my shoes lately.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Lately I've been reading design-related books. I'm also in the midst of Cat's Cradle, which I've been meaning to read for years.
Favorite TV is The Simpsons, Arrested Development, The Wire, GoT, and Bob's Burgers.
Music: I like rock, mostly from the grunge and '70s hard-rock eras, but I'm also into classical and jazz. Blue Train – so good. Black Keys and Arctic Monkeys have been high on my list lately.
My favorite food is hard to pin down. I'm not picky...unless it has olives. I don't know what it is, but I hate them – passionately.
The six things I could never do without
Aside from family and friends...
My phone/tablet/laptop (I work in technology design)
Games of all kinds (shout out if you've ever played kick the can)
An endless variety of IPAs
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging with friends at the bar or playing a board game. Or just
watching a movie on my couch. Is this what everyone says?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
When I was 10, I got super excited about cereal for breakfast one
morning. I started flailing about like a hyperactive
10-year-old-who-is-excited-about-breakfast and I accidentally
smacked my forehead on the edge of my bowl, permanently scarring
myself. It's faint, but the mark remains to the this day.
You should message me if
You love thunderstorms but are appropriately freaked out by
tornadoes. You rock the Oxford comma like someone who wants to make
reading lists easier. Or if you just want to chat.
