I'm going to make this very simple, because I'm a simple guy on the outside, and you simply can't get inside through a website. I go places with people, and I do things. Want to go get wasted? I'm here. Found out about some new tapas bar / restaurant that's doing crazy shit with food? Call me.

I come off as fairly shy to a lot of people, but when confronted by the right type, I melt; I don't think it's a good thing, but it's the way I am.

Another thing is, I absolutely loathe the okcupid IM center thing. I hate it; and I'd much rather talk over aim/msn/yahoo/icq/anything else.

The last 2 years of it have been pretty crazy.. been all around Northern California and a few east coast spots, and it's becoming a difficult decision to make. Couple that with a girlfriend and suddenly - home feels like the right place to be.. for now. A bit over a year ago, I landed a job which was.. by far the best job I've ever had in my life, and some days, I still feel like earn far too much for what I do.. but unfortunately that saying ("money isn't everything") has come to haunt me. These days, I waste a lot of time day dreaming about culinary-related adventures and whatnot. It's an itch I really need to scratch...

I'm actually decent at cooking and baking.. I've got some knife skills and have split a fingernail or two in the process of obtaining them. I have a habit of reading people, and yes - I play my share of video games. I can play a bit of piano, but I can hit thousands of notes on Beatmania much easier. I'm an insanely fast texter, but who the hell isn't these days?

My hair, my lips.. the way I fidget with random things or idly flip whatever object (my phone, usually) for no reason. I hear that I come off as pretty innocent, actually.

books - Momofuku, Becoming a Chef, Kitchen Confidential, The Making of a Chef, Escoffier, Larousse Gastronomique, Money, The Scarlet Letter, Herzog, Snow Crash, Redwall, 2600, Brave New World, etc.

movies - eternal sunshine, gattaca, catch me if you can, toy machine: welcome to hell, old martial arts movies (grew up with them, still love them to death), hackers, every zero film, the virgin suicides, koroshiya (ichi the killer), blow, american psycho, boondock saints, the big lebowski, pulp fiction, snatch

music - christ.. I guess rock ("j-rock" included), metal, punk, almost no bands that have surfaced in the last 6 years or so besides a few electronica / femme bands... I could name names, but then we'd be here all day.

foods - italian, japanese, french, thai, chinese, indian, seasonal american, korean.... possibly in that order, as well. oh, I'm an aspiring cook, btw. I'm kind of obsessed with food, the industry, and pick at the brains of everyone I find in it / going into it, etc. sometimes x.x

I know it's not listed, but I love video games. I grew up playing them, and still play them, soooo I'll be listing some now - the Street Fighter series, Marvel vs Capcom 2, Capcom vs SNK 2, Guilty Gear Slash, Virtua Fighter 5, Chrono Trigger, Suikoden [I, II, V], Secret of Mana, Seiken Densetsu III, Final Fantasy [III, IV, V, VI, VIII, XI, XII], Bahamut Lagoon, Resident Evil, Eternal Sonata, Lunar, Super Mario RPG, Zelda (the whole damn series, really), Castlevania (especially the 'metroidvanias'), Grand Theft Auto, Megaman (..up to X4 anyway), Gears of War, Beatmania IIDX, Hotel Dusk (..the current best DS game ever), Brain Age, Dragon Quest 3-8

You know, this isn't very private information D: hmm... to be honest, I keep the truly private stuff to myself unless I'm asked~ and I guess it's not private, but I call people/things ezmode / easy sometimes. Seriously. I also used to play World of Warcraft (off and on since beta) along with Final Fantasy XI, but I can't play MMOs anymore becaaause I don't have the 13 hours a day to invest in them to get the items I want~ and I'd rather simply not play at all if that's the case.
