I like to laugh a lot, and will often find I am laughing at myself somehow. I can have a gently sarcastic sense of humor, and like to tease. I can take it as well as I can dish it out (having an older brother definitely toughened me up). My friends say I can be very earnest, and I do find joy in the little things in life. I have a ridiculously goofy side, but can tone it down if I need to be more sophisticated!

I have a great group of friends, and a wonderful, and close-knit, family. I love my job, but am not a believer in the all-work-all-the-time ethos that is so prevalent in DC. I've managed to strike a pretty good balance between work and play, so my job doesn't define me. I like to get out in my neighborhood and grab drinks and dinner with friends, take in exhibits at one of the museums, people watch at Dupont Circle, or browse a bookstore. I enjoy movies, but don't get to actually see as many as I would like. I'm pretty much happy wherever I happen to be when I'm with people who mean something to me and who make me feel at home.

Probably my smile. I spend a lot of time smiling and laughing. Much of it is actually spent laughing at myself, as opposed to others.
