My self-summary
Summary:
Brooklyn-bred man (with childhood stops in Athens, Tokyo and South Florida) who likes making mischief, order from chaos and a difference in the world. I come from a family of know-it-alls that is composed of a Social Worker/Knitter/Gardener/Children's Librarian Mom, a Computer Engineer/Astronomy Hustler/Teacher/Opera Fanatic Dad and a smarter/older looking/considerably bigger and louder younger brother.

Personality:
I have an old soul and a big heart with generous helpings of both sweet and salty. As such, I love nothing more than meeting new people, hearing their stories and sizing them up. Though I am a world-class bullshit artist; when you want my opinion, I don't mince words.

Behavior/Interests:
I like a good challenge followed by a nice drink/joint, walk and sunset. If I hear any music with a beat I can't help but tap my fingers and move my hips. I'm a former athlete who no longer plays but reads ESPN daily. I keep accumulating degrees in human behavior yet find tremendous satisfaction in making shit (e.g. clothes, my haircuts, art, product design, furniture, interior design, architecture). I like all of the arts except Chinese Opera. While the beach, small towns and mother nature all restore me, I have seen the world and know that I will only live in cities. That being said, I only live in the pretty, quiet parts near big, old trees.

NB:
After years of thinking I was indestructible, I learned the hard way that I am not and am now relearning how to walk.
What I’m doing with my life
I want to help those who help others kick ass (i.e. to make all nonprofits great places to work).
I’m really good at
a lot of things. I'm great at a few.
The first things people usually notice about me
is how they suddenly don't know where their wallet is.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm an opionated SOB but I hate pissing contests. I like to keep an open mind so I can learn about the best of everything. Here are some of my all time favorites:

Book: Lemony Snicket's "The Dark"
Movies: Na Hong-jin's "The Chaser"
Music: Mulatu Astatqe's "Tezeta"
Shows: Pina Bausch's "Vollmund"
Food: Ghiradelli's brownie mix with coconut oil

Reprimanding looks followed by ;)'s
I spend a lot of time thinking about
how to be a better man.
On a typical Friday night I am
trying to run away from the week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
is that because I don't want to think about where reality begins and make-believe ends, I have conversations with stuffed animals and other inanimate objects.
