My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a computer nerd and a health nut. I celebrate my uniqueness with my appearance, my life and my ideas. I'm chill and fun to talk to but I also need time to myself. I'm honest and direct. I work hard.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I've been into computers, programming and open source software ever since I was young. Computers led me to San Francisco 5 years ago. I'm a software engineer. I feel most alive leading a team of engineers on a software project. I enjoy software design and project planning because they're puzzles that I'm good at solving. I also enjoy the feeling of responsibility.

What really makes software engineering interesting is that it's a young discipline and advancing very fast. There's millions of new tricks waiting to be discovered that could make engineering more efficient and easier for everyone. Discovering them makes me feel creative and important.

Living in San Francisco inspired me to get healthy. I follow a ketogenic diet. I work out and meditate every day and I stopped drinking.

Running. I enjoyed running as a teenager, but never thought to join track. It was enough for me to beat the other guys in sprints during basketball practice. I started running outside in San Francisco a couple of years ago, and I'm really into it. I run 3 miles home from work most days, go to a couple of run clubs, and like going for running adventures to spots around the city on the weekends.

Reading. I think of it as essential upkeep, like exercise. I think it's important to keep taking in new information and to be inspired.

I'm learning how to swim, juggle and write iPhone apps.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My colored hair, my manly nose ring, or that I'm wearing different colored shoes.

How I dress is important to me. The fact that I have a style that's different from what other people are doing and still looks good is a reminder to me of the power of creativity. Creativity that's useful in all parts of life, not just clothes. There are countless good ideas out there waiting to be discovered, but trying to fit in might get in the way of finding them.

I changed my life after reading The Fountainhead. I was never aware of the unconscious ways I sought approval: memorizing facts and tidbits to sound cool at parties, regurgitating things said by authority figures regarding books I'd never read or subjects I knew nothing about. I realized I'm smart enough to think independently and that being smart is useful in all of life, not just at work.

I like Goku from Dragon Ball Z, an anime I watched in middle school. He trains harder than anyone, saves the day because he doesn't give up and has a childlike humor and innocence.

I grew up playing video games that had really catchy music. I love 80s and 90s video game music and chiptunes. I also love 90s music at karaoke: NSYNC, Britney Spears, Natalie Imbruglia, Eiffel 65, No Doubt.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Physical and mental fitness
Doing work I'm proud of
Adventures
Satisfying interactions
Alone time
Challenge
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Crushes.

What to eat. I eat a lot.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either catching up on reading at home or going out to dinner and playing DDR with my friends at our private arcade. Since I don't drink anymore, most weekends I don't step foot in a bar.

If you're smart, pretty and have a silly side :)

But you're a girl, so I'll probably have to message you!
