I am laid-back, creative, and fairly awesome.
My Self-Summary
OK. Dammit, I hate writing. That's not part of my summary. I
apparently joined this site in 2005, but this is the first time
(2009) that I've done anything with my profile.
Let's see... I'm 23 (24 now I guess? I'm starting to forget, as I
don't celebrate my birthday). I'm an employed fellow. That's always
good, right? UH... I think I'm a good looking guy, and I am in
pretty good shape, however, you may peruse my photos and decide
that for yourself.
I am slightly artistic sometimes, when I'm not feeling lazy, which
is a lot of the time. Most of my energy gets used up by work, and
the remaining energy usually gets divided between
working out, lounging around
uselessly, and
lounging around uselessly.
I'm not a crazy party guy, but I do like to have fun. I drink a
tiny bit (I'm a huge lightweight), I don't smoke, and I've
unfortunately never been high. I don't really care what you do, as
long as you're not harming your health too much. I suppose you
could call me "420 friendly."
Anyway, I hope that's enough uh... words. For my word box. Are we
best friends now?
What I’m doing with my life
DAMMIT another box. Uh... What am I doing with my life? Does
anybody know the answer to that question?? I thought I was on here
to meet nice young women, but apparently I'm supposed to examine my
life or have some kind of philosophical revelation.
OK, fine. Right now, what I'm doing with my life is trying to
strike a balance between making a living for myself and having a
care-free existence. I'm currently working a job that doesn't quite
fulfill my life's ambitions (huge F-ing understatement), but it
does provide a paycheck. In the future I may decide to go back to
school and really try to pursue some of my dreams, but for now I'm
just trying to enjoy life.
I’m really good at
Among other things, I am really good at
drawing robots. That's one thing for
certain. I can draw other things, of course, but little ballpoint
pen drawings of robots on scrap paper are a forte.
I think I'm good at listening, although it does take some work
sometimes. I'm good at getting the best possibly MPG out of my
large, yellow Cadillac. I'm good at getting lost in Boise, even in
areas that I supposedly know quite well. Lately I've also
discovered that I'm good at getting pulled over by cops, even
though I seem to be a pretty careful driver. I think I'm good at
being courteous and thoughtful. I'm not going to say I'm good at
sex, not because I suck at it, but because it's different with
everyone, and everyone likes different things. I also try to be a
good friend. Usually that involves gratuitously paying for other
peoples' coffee, food, or movies. I tend to go overboard with that
sometimes.
The first things people usually notice about me
Hmm... I'd like to say my biceps, but that's probably just wishful
thinking. People probably notice my hair first. It's sorta light
red, and an unruly mop lately.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I was going to copy and paste my exhaustive lists of favorite
things from my Facebook, but it's probably better if I just list a
few things for now.
A few of my favorite books are: Catcher in the Rye, American Gods,
The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, and Neuromancer.
I have a ton of favorite movies, and my collection is growing all
the time. I like a lot of sci-fi, a few indie and foreign films,
the occasional thriller as long as it's not complete Hollywood bs,
and sometimes even a romantic movie, if it's well done.
As far as music goes, I have a somewhat eclectic taste. Lately I
mostly listen to
post-punk,
electronica, and
indie. Some of my favorite
artists/groups are
The Jesus and Mary
Chain,
TV
on the Radio,
Pixies,
The Cure,
The Knife,
Mount Sims,
Fischerspooner,
Goldfrapp, and
Junior Boys.
The six things I could never do without
Ah man... The boxes never end. I can only choose 6 things? Physical
possessions or what?? Ok... let's see...
6. My 1982 Cadillac Coupe Deville. (I'm not a gear-head or
anything, but it's my baby)
5. My iPod. I can't go anywhere without it. I like having a
soundtrack to my life, and podcasts save my sanity at work.
4. My wallet. I try to save my money, but I can't really go
anywhere without spending a little bit.
3. My
converse
sneakers. I don't know why, they're just so sneakery.
2. Old friends. There are just some people that seem to stick
around in your life, regardless of distance or how long it's been
since you last saw them. Here's to old friends!
1. My family. As much as I want to be independent and carve out a
path for myself in life, my family always has, and always will be
there for me.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I spend a lot of time thinking about things I would rather not,
like philosophical quandaries and whether I'm wasting my life at a
dead-end job. I'd much rather think about
Reese's Pieces or
adorable puppies
or sex. Although not all at the same time, I do not have a sexual
fetish involving puppies or peanut butter candy, thank God.
On a typical Friday night I am
Unfortunately working (I work the night shift). But I have
Saturdays off. On my nights off I'm usually up for anything. I love
going to coffee shops (especially
Flying M), going to movies, going to
nice restaurants, going to
24 hour diners and dives
(Merritt's, Piehole, Shari's), or just going on late-night drives
with no particular destination in mind.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
Hmm... I don't think I have any huge, musty, closet-dwelling
skeletons to air out. I guess I'll admit that, for a guy, sex is
fairly low on my priority list. I enjoy it of course, but I don't
pursue it for sport like some people.
You should message me if
You should message me if you think I'm interesting, cute, or
otherwise engaging in some way. I'm easy to get along with, a
fairly good conversationalist, and I think I'm pretty good looking,
if I may say so.
