My Self-Summary

Hey I'm Holly, im a student (please avoid stereotyping here) Im currently doing a degree in Drama at Edge Hill Uni. I would love to be involved in music or drama as a career.I love to hang out with friends in dingy pubs and talk and laugh, although unfortunately i cant drink at the moment! I also love my family and my pets and can be just as content spending time at home with a good DVD! I'm quite a cynical person at times but my friends love me for my dry humour and honesty. I like to think of myself as someone they can turn to when they need help. Although im just as useful for a fun night in or out!!

What I’m doing with my life

In the first year of my degree in Drama at Edge Hill. Loving it so far. Its been 2 years since i was last in education so its challenging but refreshing aswell. Im so glad i made the decision to come here. Made so many great friends and im still chatting to my friends from home online all the time. Missing my mum and my doggy a bit but im getting used to being independant. Go to uni folks its worth it! I feel like im finally growing up a bit but im still managing to have fun at the same time.

I’m really good at

I'm good at writing and word related things, main talent is singing. I suppose i fancy myself as a bit of an actress aswell. I really find it hard to say good things about myself to be honest. I cant stand people who are arrogant but i admire confidence, theres a fine line between the two. Personal confidence is something that i tend to lack but i'm working on it.

The first things people usually notice about me

People probably notice my 4 tatoo's (2 flowers, 1 musical stave with pink stars) and my tongue piercing!! I try to be witty, dont know if it works though! I cant pretty much get on with anyone face to face although when it comes to close friendships i can be quite selective. Im not te kind of person to be nasty to people or cause arguments, i tend to avoid conflict if i can.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books- Terry Pratchett, i love the discworld novels they are so funny. Stephen King books. At the moment i seem to spend most of my time reading text-books for uni.

Movies- Love comedy films like Blues Brothers. Also big action movies like I-Robot and Lord of the Rings. Musicals are cool too. Hairspray is amazing!

Music- All kinds, love U2 and Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco are amazing, Christina Aguilera has the best voice ever, The Offspring, Tenacious D, Maroon 5. I can appreciate most music in context, dance stuff is great for clubbing but not so great for chilling in my room.

Food- All of it!!!

TV- Family Guy is my favourite show ever, in fact its more of an obsession! I love Eastenders, Torchwood, Doctor Who, ER, Any interesting documantaries too.

The six things I could never do without

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Everything really, i'm a big thinker and often cant switch my brain off!! I also have a bad habit of worrying about things but i'm working on that. I ponder the big questions about the meaning of life to smaller, silly things like why does anyone like Big Brother?

On a typical Friday night I am

Out at the pub (thats a bar to the Americans) with friends sometimes or in watching Tv and chillin'. Im pretty eclectic and easy going, ill do whatever takes my fancy.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I have a nipple piercing....yep its true! However, ths does not mean im some kind of sadomasochist!
