Disturb the universe?
First off...I am unlike anyone you will ever meet. Period.
Next: Not only do I march to a different drummer, but it might be a different genre, and there might not even be a drummer there :-p
I need a girl with an open mind, that said, here's me: (if you have questions, feel free to ask)
I'm crazyish. My friends say that I'm kind, easy going, and fun to be around. I love the cold and warm weather. I have to live in the north, because i need a winter time. I LOVE music, way into natural things, omnivore, good beer usually tastes good, I wear Keens with wool socks all winter, but enjoy being barefoot when there is little to no snow on the ground, I'm way into "hippie dancing" and I've started to learn how to milonga and salsa, and I would love to learn other kinds of dancing (I've started including a hula hoop), and I play electric bass guitar, upright bass, have messed around with a mandolin, a concertina, and an accordion, and took piano for 7 years. I like to travel. I like going to concerts and festivals. I also love Thunderstorms, Fireworks, and kitchen chemistry (seeing what i have in the fridge and trying to make a meal of it :-)). And I have a pretty hefty record collection. I would one day like to have a large piece of land in Maine to call my own (20 acres).
I believe that a relationship is a give and take. I'm exhibit A of the "Mr. Nice Guy," but if I'm going to be with you, I'm going to need you to not take advantage of that, and also need you to be willing/wanting to do things for me.
it was like this when
we waltz into this place.
A couple of papish cats
is doing an Aztec two-step
And I says
Dad let's cut
but then this dame
comes up behind me see
you and me could really exist
Wow I says
Only the next day
she has bad teeth
and really hates

I'm wandering the wilds of my dreams, currently. For the past several years (I'm bad at lengths of time) I've been a seasonal worker...doing a different job every time. When I apply for a job, and the application has those three or four spots for past jobs, and states: please list what you've done for the past five years... I need a couple of more sheets of paper.
While tripping through the lily fields, I came across and empty space. It trembled and exploded, left a bus stop in its place. The bus came by, and I got on, and that's where it all began...with Cowboy Neal at the wheel of the bus...to Never Never Land.
I have recently been told that I am like a professional friend. :-)
This was said about me at 11:50pm on 3/19/2012: "***** (me) is the genuine article. He is the one guy I have met who is not like all the rest." BIG SMILE!
Another quote: "You are the reason that I don't put my address up on facebook anymore." (back story: If I know a friend's address, and will be in the area, I like to stop by and say hello...announced or not. With a big grin.)
My most recent ex: You will make someone very happy, someday.
I feel at home in the out of doors. Tuckerman's Ravine skiing. There's a special place in my heart for the Maine lakes country and the coast, also for a bluegrass festival in NY state called Greyfox (i've been attending since 1997). I had an awesome time in Rhodes once.
TV: Jeopardy, Top Gear, Archer, Nova, Daily Show
Music: I'm an audiophile, if I were to list off my favorite artists, it would take the next 3 days. I'll give you an idea of how much I like listening to music...I own approx. 1500 33rpm records, 600 45rpm records, 130,000 songs on my computer, and more. This is a mix of everything from obscure world music to christmas music to jazz and bluegrass to classic rock to irish punk to soviet funk to reggae to metal, etc. Also, I'm always up for being introduced to more music. :-) On top of all that, I like to play bluegrass and jazz on my bass.
Food: I'm willing to try nearly anything, however i really like pasta, stirfry, spicy mexican, and garlic

I stole this from K&P on Fet:
I need to be touched.
Give me all the touching.
And while going without sex, leaves me edgy...going without touch, leaves me depressed and miserable.
It leaves me aching, yearning, and withering.
I need to feel fingertips on my skin.
Fingers in my hair. But not in the pulling way.
I need to feel arms around me.
I need skin-to-skin contact.
I need to feel warm, safe, secure, and loved.
It's been so long.
My inner touch slut is suffering.
Someone touch me.
Why do girls think that they need an "obligatory bathroom shot"?
Why am I expected to make the first move?
Brain: Pinky, Are You Pondering What I'm Pondering?
Pinky: Uh, I think so, Brain, but we'll never get a monkey to use dental floss.
I have ADD. I think that about sums it up.
Why, if I send a well thought out message, the other party doesn't respond at all? Even to say: nice, but no thanks...
What's that Brain?
Try to take over the world.
I like to have my hair played with.
If you have made it all the way through my profile, and have decided that you're going to "like" me, please message me, instead. I'm not on A-List, and therefore I am not able to see who has "liked" me...
Would you like to go camping at Fort Gorges? Would you like to be my polar-bear partner?
