My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I love Portland. I grew up in Las Vegas but Portland is my home. I think that the rain is well worth the beautiful green forests of Oregon.

I have an amazing dog, Lola, and I love running and trail running with her - especially in the fall! This summer I went camping almost every weekend and I try to be in the woods as much as possible whether it's by myself or with friends.

I love rock climbing and am kind of obsessed with the sport. I started climbing just a couple years ago but it's a really big part of my life. I have met some incredibly amazing people climbing who are dear friends to me now and I'm always looking for some new climbing partners.

I have been bitten by the travel/adventure bug. My biggest trip this year was a solo trip to France but I also spent a ton of time traveling within the US visiting NYC, SFO, Yosemite, Vegas, Utah, Crater Lake, Smith Rock (many, many, many times), Red Rock, Napa Valley, Seattle, and more. Currently I'm planning a big climbing trip early next year to Thailand or Spain.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Full-time career with Prometheus Real Estate Group with an unfinished degree in Electrical Engineering and Physics. I have a successful career with my company but, if the opportunity arises, I'd be interested in moving to a position more on the technical side - operations analyst, applications services, IT, pricing analyst, etc.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My hair and height. I will never forget that I have a lot of hair and that I'm tall thanks to the astuteness of strangers.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I absolutely love books. I like losing myself in them. I like living the lives of the characters. I like the journey. I read mostly fiction but do enjoy sprinkling in non-fiction books. When I'm on vacation I easily read a book a day so I'm kind of reluctant to list off books because there are so many. If I had to pick a favorite book it would be Catch-22 and favorite author would be Haruki Murakami. Instead of naming more let's just have a fun, animated, and very excitable (because when I talk to anyone about books I'm always very excited) conversation about what books we love, okay?

I haven't had much time for movies or TV this year but I do like them. I'm a sucker for a good documentary or indie film. My all-time favorite movie is North by Northwest. If I watch TV it's usually when I'm in the shower because I'm a really good multi-tasker. Favorite shows when I do find time are Game of Thrones, Louie, Archer, Mad Men, Mythbusters, Planet Earth, etc.

M Ward is one of my favorite musicians. Recent people I've found and liked are Justin Townes Earle, Milky Chance, Stu Larson, Son Little, Passenger, Josh Ritter, Jackie Greene, Amanda Shires, Soko, KONGOS, and more. I also have a playlist titled "Booty Bounce" filled with R&B and Hip-Hop songs exactly for the purpose of bouncing my booty.

I listen to NPR and public radio a ton. I listen to Morning Edition every morning and All Things Considered on my way home from work. This American Life is my favorite and I'm really enjoying Serial. Others: Radio Lab, Fresh Air, Car Talk, and Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me.

I love Lebanese food. Tabouhli has been a staple of my Thanksgiving (favorite holiday!) dinner my whole life. I eat hummus pretty much everyday. I also love garlic and onions. I was vegan for a year and still eat a mostly plant-based diet.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My dog, running, books, math, laughter, and men with beards.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where I want to travel to next year.

Fun stuff I want to buy: mountain bike, pet trailer for said mountain bike (suggestions?), van to convert into camper vehicle, stoppers and cams to build my rack for trad climbing (currently I only do sport).

Should I take the Mazamas' BCEP course next March?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Driving to wherever I'm camping that weekend.

If I'm staying in town then I might be with friends somewhere or at my place catching up on petting my dog, chores, reading, and/or sleeping.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm introverted. I definitely need my alone time in order to recharge. I need regular physical activity to feel mentally whole. I don't function well with less than 8 hours of sleep for more than a couple of nights in a row.

I'm incredibly impulsive.
