My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
If you are a cis man and you are not actively involved either emotionally, intellectually or materially in allying with struggles for queer and trans liberation, please do not message me.

I oscillate between craving cozy domestic time snuggling up on the couch under blankets, cooking Syrian stews and wanting to be outside watching the sunrise and greeting the birds by the lake.

I care immensely about the people in my life, including my long term partner (who I am so lucky to be with.) I like having romantic friendships, and friend flirting as much as I like being pursued romantically.

I've been practicing wielding my power lovingly and with accountability. I've been feeling all femmed up lately after years of presenting myself more masculinely. It feels amazing to be responsive to my newly budding genders, and as a result I've been extremely connected to my assertiveness and sexuality.

I'm witchy, an empath, and extraordinarily perceptive.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a community mental health worker for my job. I work with young people with extremely severe behavioral struggles and their families. When I'm not at work I write poetry, see my friends, cook Halabi food (my mother is from an Aleppan Jewish family), watch America's Next Top model (with self-conscious cynicism), support POOR Magazine and the Homefulness project in deep East Oakland and lift weights.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Noticing magnificence almost anywhere, especially in light and people and plants; allowing myself to be moved; being vulnerable and strong; making the best salads ever (I have a tender, undying love for vegetables); crushing; noticing what is happening in group dynamics; developing meaningful relationships with kids; connecting Jewish texts and traditions to contemporary political struggles; flirting.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My warmth, my strong opinions and outspokenness, my listening skills.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Middle eastern salads, avocados, really good Ethiopian food, homemade almond milk. And lemons.

Separatist queer zines and pamphlets (particularly those written in the early 90s.) an example is "QUEERS READ THIS: A leaflet distributed at a pride march in NY, Published anonymously by Queers."

And poems, always poems.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Bodies of water, sunlight, real intimacy, connection to ancestry and family, the smell of open air spice markets in the Old City of Jerusalem (where my family is from), radical Jewish community.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My grandparents who are far away and how to best express to them my appreciation and love; how to resist colonization in all of it's forms and how to support peoples' powerful resistance and liberation struggles; gorgeous queers; how to express what is hard to express and in what form; cooking, laughing, hanging out with my friends, hot water, healing, bodies, the moon, and how to protect time for these.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Having Shabbat dinners with friends, watching trashy reality television with my anti-capitalist, radical feminist boo.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
[You're a high/ hard femme of any gender who wants to get it on, or you have a gorgeously complex masculinity and you either want to worship me or boss me around. Also if you're a kind, solid, good boy/ boi and you want to woo me through charming notes and home made morsels, or in your own swoon-worthy ways. And you're respectful of the fact that I have a primary partner to check in with about things.]

I'm not currently in an open relationship, but I may be again some day soon.

You want to have tea and talk about things you care about or make me laugh, I am too serious sometimes!

Or you want to friend romance me.
