My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
This is maybe what I'm like really. But in front: oh so many layers of neuroticism.

Possibly more exhilarating than a man-shaped hole. Endowed with impressive wake, a right ventricle that can be much too enthusiastic, and a low low centre of gravity. I also have 32 dull teeth that sparkle in the right light. Mentally and spiritually clumsy.

Perplexed, often happily so. Quiet. Tongue-tied. Over-user of punctuation. I laugh a lot. Sincere, warm, gentle, absurd and deluded. Empathy is very important to me. My heart is too big and my heart is too small. Cerebrally pessimistic, nervously optimistic. I'm often out of frame.

I could be religious about cinema. I like road trips, donuts, riding down hills, pigeons, seagulls, trees, and lazing about.

I value emotional expression and awareness, intelligence, creativity, difference, sensitivity, wit, cultural fearlessness, humility, playfulness, overwhelming humour, and breasts.

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Laughing. Doubting. Worrying. Diverging. Complying.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Getting lost.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My nose is too large, my laugh too insecure.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books, in backward order of discovery: Carlos Castaneda, Henry Miller, Italo Calvino, Franz Kafka, Primo Levi, William Faulkner, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Gunter Grass, Salman Rushdie, Jorge Luis Borges. Also continental philosophy, art/film theory.

Film snob. Bruno Dumont, Philippe Grandrieux, Claire Denis, Tsai Ming-Liang, Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Bela Tarr, Abbas Kiarostami, 60s Japanese cinema, Spaghetti Westerns. . Prejudiced against Hollywood though there are always exceptions. Video Art and Experimental film much loved

Music: all kinds. Old favourites: The Smiths, Mogwai, Low, Don Cabellero, Springsteen, Fuck Buttons, Grand Salvo, Godspeed You... Swans, early American roots.

Of sports, of course I like fetch (particularly as retriever) and knife fights.

Food: the non-sentient that have been nourished by the sentient. Red food.

Yoga also.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Cake, birds, minor dissidents, happy fools, ruins, detritus, order & disorder, road trips, stories, strivers and fallers, folk, banality, camp, food fights.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either exorcising or exercising personal demons.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
On my deathbed, my last words will be, "I wish I had been a dancer."

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're lovely. Or you have an unhealthy relationship with cheese, your spirit, or other.

OR, completely differently, you'd be up for a silent meeting (a walk, a meal, a sit in a park, an exchange of handfuls of air, something involving molotov cocktails, whatever).
