My self-summary
I moved to Florida about three years ago from a small Alabama town filled with mediocrity that felt as if it was slowly eating away at my soul. In order to escape, I fled to Sarasota, Florida with several friends armed with a telecommute position, allowing me to relocate. Eventually, I made my way to Saint Petersburg.

All in all, I'm just enjoying life, taking it one day at a time. I could always use more people to join in the adventure!

I enjoy a nice bowl of hookah after work along with an occasional good beer or a stiff whiskey sour. I love being active outdoors and would love to find someone to enjoy it with in the area. I eventually want to get a kayak and set out to explore the various waterways and islands of the area.

I have a full-time job as a Web Developer, a car, and my own apartment. Bottom-line, I have my shit together.

I can be quiet at first, but I often feed off of the energy of others.

Anything I've missed, hit me up. I'm a pretty nice guy.
What I’m doing with my life
I try to hit the gym at least 5 days a week, working on the never ending task of self-improvement. I have a bachelors degree in Computer Science and am currently a Web Developer.

Also, abusing my body by putting things that are probably too spicy to be meant for human consumption, such as the ghost pepper wings at Buffalo Wild Wings
I’m really good at
packing a fine bowl of shisha
cooking up some mean fish filets
problem solving
The first things people usually notice about me
If they look beyond just my face, probably the scars on my arm from past surgeries; I was a pretty clumsy kid. Beyond that, I've been told I have a nice smile
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Friedrich Nietzsche, Clive Barker, Stephen King, and Chuck Palahniuk are among my favorite authors. Though I am not a religious person, I really enjoy religious fiction, such as Dr. Faustus, Dante's Inferno, and Paradise Lost. I also find philosophy absolutely fascinating. I really want to read some Ayn Rand and Richard Dawkins, but haven't gotten around to it yet. Currently, I'm working my way through Love + Sex with Robots.

SLC Punk, Fight club, Shoot Em' Up, Children of Men, The Evil Dead Trilogy, Gentlemen Broncos, the works of Tarantino and Rodriquez, Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, the list goes on. Also, I've never seen anything with Bruce Campbell that wasn't amazing.

Game of Thrones, Portlandia, Dexter, The X-Files, Burn Notice, South Park, American Dad, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Futurama, Sci-Fi originals, random science documentaries...once again, the list goes on...

I appreciate good music. I will always be partial to good old punk rock, but two of my favorite bands don't fall into this genre: Beck and Murder by Death. I rather enjoy vaguely folkish alterna rock (brownie points if you get the reference) and can be found listening to anything from Bob Dylan to Wu Tang Clan. I don't care what kind of music you like, the sound of a well-played sax is downright sexy. I've also been getting into some weird genres including Royksopp and Chromeo

Video Games:
I'm primarily a PC gamer, although I'll occasionally indulge in Xbox or Wii. Don't get me wrong though, I do enjoy having a life outside of games.

The only thing notable here is that I am primarily a carnivore. Mankind is adapted to eat meat, so why fight it? I don't care if other people aren't, but I'm never going to give it up.

On a side note, I enjoy spicy things.
The six things I could never do without
Aside from the bare necessities:
1.) Intellectual stimulation
2.) Hookah and hookah accessories
3.) Whiskey
4.) Good friends
5.) Music
6.) Meat
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The current state of the world
Behavioral patterns, why people do/act the way they do in various situations.
The future, both mine and the future of the world
Time travel paradoxes
How things work
Why people can't seem to grasp the simple concept of how the interstate works
How crazy it is that everything we experience essentially boils down to a chemical/electrical reaction
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out with good friends playing games, watching movies, drinking whiskey, and/or smoking from the hookah or possibly getting out into the world doing something.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I do not have the ability to grow a proper beard and may have been engaged in a few dance battles at red lights with neighboring cars...I may have been served?
You should message me if
you made it through this long spiel and don't want to punch me in the face for wasting several minutes of your life that you will never get back; Hell, message me even if you do want to punch me in the face, make for interesting conversation. You want to be spontaneous and just go do something! Its weird trying to get to know people through on-line messaging, so lets get some coffee, or maybe something a little harder? I'm pretty much down for anything, except for the whole club scene.

You speak German or want to learn and can help me out with mine

You own a kayak and want to paddle out sometime

You have a Busch Gardens annual pass and want to join me

However, I take care of myself, so you should do the same.
And for all you grammar Nazis out there, I realize this section is far from grammatically correct, fraught with run-on sentences, fragments and the like, but quite frankly, I don't give a damn
