Back in the USA! Mi jas bin finis wan lonfala trip lo Vanuatu, mi bin stap tri yias! RPCV here, looking to meet cool people back in the Eugene area. I'm in the process of unpacking and reacquainting myself with proper dinner table etiquette.
What I’m doing with my life
I work with Health Information Systems for many countries throughout Africa, the Middle East and the South Pacific. It is a lot of fun, and being a consultant, I can pretty much define my own hours. I also get to travel for work quite a bit, just finished up a trip to Jordan and Sierra Leone (No, I didn't catch ebola) and now DC!
I’m really good at
Sussing out order from our vast array of techno-gadgets...
The first things people usually notice about me
That I've got a lot of energy and/or taller than average.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
TV: Archer, Bob's Burgers, Rick and Morty!
Movies: Wes Anderson & Older Pixar Movies
Music: Too much to name here
Books: George R. R. Martin, Michael Crichton, Michael Connelly,
Thomas Harris, Orson Scott Card, Jim Butcher, Chuck Palahniuk,
Stieg Larsson, etc…
Food: Everything, Pizza being my favorite. I'll down some lap lap
manioc if given the chance though.
The six things I could never do without
I've lived without all of these things before, and it really makes you appreciate the little things (like light-switches that aren't some strange industrial art form, and no function):
2. Running water
5. Friends to share with
6. A nice space to cook awesome food
I spend a lot of time thinking about
On a typical Friday night I am
Don't have a typical Friday night to draw from yet, but beside grabbing a shell of kava at the neighborhood nakamal, youTube nights with friends and beers are always a good time.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm pretty much an open book...
You should message me if
You are in the Eugene area and would like to grab coffee or beer with a super cool dude!
And of course: You are looking for an international friend or have questions about the PeaceCorps or Vanuatu.
