Studying politics and history as though the world will end when I graduate. I'm somewhat anxious and wholly uncertain about what's next, but I'm starting to think undirected determination is more important than a specific plan. One way to solve a hedge maze is to trace the left wall unthinkingly; it will inefficiently but necessarily bring you to the exit, taking you through a set of corridors totally independent of how you might otherwise choose to go. That's how I live on a good day. Not that I think life is a maze. Just that I think "open-mindedness" is a matter of practice rather than thought.

Snap judgments, improvisational cooking, editing academic papers, driving on ice, super mario world, speedy internet research, making fun of the movie that's playing (see first in list), mental math, getting animals to like me, and resolving arguments.

I will judge any and every expressive work mercilessly, including things I love. Including things you love. It is a disease.

Television shows, for me, are only ways to bond. The quality only needs to be decent (or conversation-meritingly bad).
