What I’m doing with my life
Studying politics and history as though the world will end when I graduate. I'm somewhat anxious and wholly uncertain about what's next, but I'm starting to think undirected determination is more important than a specific plan. One way to solve a hedge maze is to trace the left wall unthinkingly; it will inefficiently but necessarily bring you to the exit, taking you through a set of corridors totally independent of how you might otherwise choose to go. That's how I live on a good day. Not that I think life is a maze. Just that I think "open-mindedness" is a matter of practice rather than thought.
I’m really good at
Snap judgments, improvisational cooking, editing academic papers, driving on ice, super mario world, speedy internet research, making fun of the movie that's playing (see first in list), mental math, getting animals to like me, and resolving arguments.
The first things people usually notice about me
Tall, stuttering, long eyelashes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I will judge any and every expressive work mercilessly, including things I love. Including things you love. It is a disease.

five books: Brief Interviews With Hideous Men, The Rainbow Stories, Bodyworld, Only Revolutions, VALIS.
five movies: A Serious Man, Mulholland Drive, Battle Royale, My Neighbor Totoro, The Thing (Carpenter).
five albums: The ArchAndroid by Janelle Monae, De La Soul Is Dead, The Way of All Flesh by Gojira, We Shall All Be Healed by The Mountain Goats, Beautiful Songs By Men by Horse The Band.

Television shows, for me, are only ways to bond. The quality only needs to be decent (or conversation-meritingly bad).
The six things I could never do without
A close friend at least an e-mail away
Something to read
Free license to kvetch
On a typical Friday night I am
Flip a coin: reading a book or fucking around on the Internet. Partying's a skill I have as well.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am terrified at the thought that I'll never hold a Real Job and that really I should be spending all of my time, money, and effort finding one.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 18–28
  • Located anywhere
  • For new friends, short-term dating, long-distance penpals, casual sex
You should message me if
you're inclined to say anything. Internet talk is cheap.
