My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I recently moved back to DC after living in Egypt and Jordan for a few years. And so, now I find myself doing a lot of things I was deprived of in the Middle East like running outside, going to happy hours, and appreciating women's hair.

I'm a man who says yes to most activities (much that like that man who says yes in that movie whose name escapes me). Like wakeboarding? I've never done it, but, you know what? I'd say yes. Vineyard tour? Okay. Needlepoint club? Let's rock it. You could probably twist my arms into skydiving or breaking into the Washington Monument if you tried hard enough as YOLO is pretty darn convincing argument. (Don't worry, I was using "YOLO" ironically). I love trying new foods, meeting new people and finding new challenges. Basically, anything that'll make a great story.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working for the State Department. And we all have our stupid life goals - mine is trying to visit every country in the world. I'm at 97 of 205 depending on what you consider a country. Is Transnitria a country? Well, I'm counting it.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Talking about anything, doing half of a crossword, chopping vegetables, getting things from high places, charming people's parents, pub trivia, forgiving people, parallel parking, picking the best karaoke songs, making inappropriate jokes, and failing but trying again.

I also enjoy writing and have eked out a few comedy articles. You can read them here:

I'm tall with green eyes. At least once a day, someone comments on my height. I usually respond with "I drank a lot of milk when I was young."
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: I dunno, I just read A Visit From The Goon Squad by Jennifer Egan. Oh, and trying to get through those Song of Fire and Ice books. What else, Lonely Planet Central Asia?
Movies: I'm a sucker for anything with space ships in it. But also, Before Sunset is genius as is Wet Hot American Summer.
Shows: I have an unhealthy relationship with Community, Angel, Breaking Bad and Arrested Development. There's something about shows where you catch new stuff the second time through. Wait a minute, Walter absorbs the personalities of people he kills? Mind blown.
Music: a lot of 90's punk, but I balance it out by only dancing to 90's hip hop.
Food: Love it all, though Sushi and Malaysian has a special place in my heart.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Sunshine, sushi, my passport, running, something to look forward to, and the unexpected.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The weird economics of every day life. For example, the other day I was in a cab and noticed that they only get around 50 cents for a quarter mile. How do they make any money when DC is so small? Ah, but they get 50 cents for every minute of waiting. They must make bank. Unfortunately, this means they have a perverse incentive to get stuck in traffic and stop at every yellow. So, yeah, that's what's unfortunately going on in my head. That and Middle Eastern politics.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?

I once watched all 65 episodes of Jem and Holograms to write an article on cartoons.
