mistaking myself, for indestructible, and at times.
My self-summary Propose an edit
Okay. I lied about the flying thing. Though I do wrack up frequent
flyer points on sub-par airlines pretty well.
I laugh a lot, usually at myself.
I read too much.
For the most part I can keep things in perspective but I have
moments of being a bit tortured.
I just got back from six months volunteering in Nicaragua. Like
just just.
I have a lot of tattoos. A lot. That said, I am a plain girl. I
have a large nose. I look like a librarian a lot of the time.
People who can't laugh at themselves annoy the shit out of me, as
do people who spend too much time trying to be cool.
I have a well developed sense of the absurd and am a little too
fond of irony and sarcasm.
I can't swim but I body board and live for the ocean.
There's a thin line between stupidity and bravery and I stumble
back and forth across with it amazing regularity.
What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit
I'm going to have a contest - what I should do with my life! Anyone
who can come up with something that sounds even vaguely reasonable
will win a great prize. Like a fork or something.
No honestly - what I'm doing with my life? Trying to be happy and
fulfill my curiousity about the world around me. Everything else is
just gravy.
I'm really good at Propose an edit
Gargling 'Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer' with a mouth full of diet
coke. Reading quickly. Travelling - I don't get uptight about
everything. Swearing and using big words at the same time.
Oversleeping. Writing, though you wouldn't know it from this
profile. Taking off on ill-thought out but incredibly compelling
adventures. Being a loyal friend.
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me Propose an edit
My sarcasm. Love it or hate it. Or my tattoos. Or the fact that I
run away to join the circus a lot.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit
Books: non-fiction. Anything non-fiction that's decently written. I
read too much and can't really call a favorite - lately I've been
on a tear about reading about the Khmer Rouge. My favorite book of
all time is Catcher in the Rye but that's practically a damn bible
to me. Everything just kills me.
Movies: Oh god, I don't know. I don't watch a lot of them. Indie
and art house. Documentaries.
Music: Old school punk and hard core. Some jangy, alt-country
college radio stuff. Some alt-pop shit I'll only cop to once I know
you. Reggaeton, but that's a by-product of living in Central
America for a long time.
The six things I could never do without Propose an edit
1)Dogs
2)Books
3)Diet Coke, coffee and cigarettes - goddamn you corporate america,
goddamn you.
4)My overdeveloped sense of irony
5)Spellcheck
6)my friends
I spend a lot of time thinking about Propose an edit
At this moment: finding a job. Otherwise my deep regret over not
being born Canadian, why sharks fall asleep when you flip them
over, Middle East politics and how Clif Bars are the perfect food.
They're like kibble for people.
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here Propose an edit
I am just as screwed up as the rest of you silly bastards here.
You should message me if Propose an edit
You can make me laugh.
You have something original to say - not "I like to hang out, I'm
not looking to play games".
You're taller than me. Sorry, call me a shallow bitch but that's
unbendable.
You read something fantastic.
You have a great story to tell me.
You're really tall and kind of boney. I have a thing for
that.
You've been interesting places.
