My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I like to think of myself as adventuresome, creative, and entrepreneurial. While I have spent lots of time in the DC area and am now deeply invested here I was born in Manhattan and think I'm still a New Yorker at heart.

I enjoy initiating on projects and working intensively at them, whether its collecting truck art, repairing a home, unionizing my coworkers, or importing vespas. In general I like people that have outside-the-box ideas.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I spent a good portion of my 20s living abroad in places that are not tourist destinations, but got to take some great vacations along the way. Having mostly exorcised the travel bug I'm focused on exploring and learning more about DC. At one point I was intent on changing the world. While I haven't given that up entirely, I'm now much more content with renovations and making it to the new restaurant.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Guessing cab drivers' nationalities. Couchsurfing. Scrabble and boggle (though my skills are aging). Finding good deals at estate sales.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I highly recommend Burmese Days by George Orwell. Lesser known but much better than his recognized books.

All movies by Todd Solondz are must views.

I like Dreamgirls, both the movie and on stage version. Planning to see the Book of Mormon for a third time.

The only time I've missed a local show by the Black Crowes, Phish, or Thievery Corporation is when I've been out of town.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Things in the district that ought to be changed and how to make that happen.

Causes of and remedies for procrastination, which becomes a form of procrastination itself.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Not sure if there is typical. Really, if there's an open mic and hip hop playing you can bet that I'll get up and karaoke, though its not the most typical outing. I've been known to spend a long time at the Poker table and casinos in general. I'm also into playing Scrabble and Boggle. Scuba diving. I'd like to do other kind of diving, too. Unfortunately, I've only been skydiving once, but would do that again. I enjoy hiking and would like to get another one of the seven summits under my belt. Ok maybe this is what I have done on Friday nights, not really a typical Friday night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That sounds like a fun game to play when we meet.

You've got some interesting things to do in DC and want an activity partner. You probably want to hold off if you think the President is a Muslim or born in Kenya.
